I need to replace my MyKad due to expired tng.
Which option should I choose for the reason? Ganti biasa?

Johorpay and ekhidmat

I was previously using ekhidmat to pay tax to MBJB.
Later, I found out that johorpay is a better platform and started using johorpay instead to pay all my taxes.
But when I check ekhidmat few months later, the bill for cukai harta for MBJB still show not cleared, although I already paid for that bill via johorpay.

Is it because that they have a lousy system that does not synchronize across all platforms, and I can just ignore ekhidmat in the future?

Toyota Scheduled Service, Battery and Warranty

Hi all,

My Toyota Vios was bought around 1 year and 3 months ago. Today, it couldn't start so I found a foreman near my home. He told me that the battery is dead, so I changed a new one. I have no idea how things work regarding car, so I have some questions:

1. The foreman also told me that car battery usually dies after a year. Is this true? I thought it should last at least 3 to 5 years.
2. Will this causes my car warranty to be void? Or at most, just the battery being void?
3. I brought back the old battery and plan to bring it to SC next service. I assume the battery should be under warranty. Can I demand compensation or something from Toyota?
4. Next service should be in December. Should I schedule one sooner?

Regarding latest Unifi Termination policies

I was planning to go to TM point to terminate my fibre service and talked to a Unifi staff via live chat regarding which branch I can go to do the process so that I can avoid the 30 days notice BS and return the equipment. Then, she told me the following:

1. No need to return any equipment anymore after contract ended.
2. Termination will be effective within 30 days. (So, no more 30-days notice)

Are the policies changed that are now friendlier to their customer?
Just want to verify so that there is no misinformation from the customer service (it happens sometimes) and I have to go through more hustles if it happened.

Regarding a phone call from PBB

Hi all,

Not sure if I am asking in the right place cause I can't find page dedicated for PBB. Apologize if I should post my questions somewhere.

Yesterday, I received calls from 03-2176-8399. According to whoscall, it is reported as public bank ccris. So, I assume that it is some kind of marketing or surveying call and ignored the calls. Then, they start spam calling me like crazy. It is weird that the bank just keep calling you every few seconds for more than 5 times straight. This morning, the same thing happened but I already blocked it with whoscall.

FYI, I did accept a new hire purchase offer from Public Bank in May/June. But, I already got the account number, amount, and due date (which should be end of this month) via sms (63633, should be legit right??) with my car number stated. Before the approval, I got phone call from Sg. Besi branch directly for the application procedure. So, I assume if there is any problem with my hire purchase, the same branch should be the one calling me right?

So, my questions are:

1. Is this number (03-2176-8399) just another marketing call? Or possibly hijacked scam call?
2. Does bank spam call people this way? Cause according to my pass experience, they would wait awhile before trying to call you again. After 2-3 tries, they will give up. Or if it is just marketing, they usually only call once.
3. Since I already received the details of my hire purchase repayment, I should be ok right? FYI I already did my first repayment and received confirmation of transfer via sms 66300.

[Digi] Data traffic keep stuck

I just sign for the contract and got my Note 2 with digi data plan about a month ago.
It was good and I am satisfy with the data transfer speed and everything.

However, recently, my data traffic keep stuck. I can go onto the internet as normal and then after a while the data transfer stopped!
I tried disable the data plan and re-enable again. Sometimes the network comes back but same problem again after a while.
I also tried restart my phone. The network able to come back normal but again after a while same problem occur again.

What happened!? Is it digi data plan that lousy!?

I just went to digital mall at PJ. These are the prices i get:

psp 2000: 850
psp 3000: 980

The guy told me that 2000 is actually better. So, I wondering if i should go for 2000 or not.

And, I am going Perai Jaya, Penang. So, I wondering if price at there would be cheaper?

Btw, I though 2000 should had been stopped produced?

Question on library for C image processing

I tried on google searching for "C Blast", but I can't find anything I am searching for.

Computer crash while gaming

since a month ago, whenever I play games, after few minutes my pc just restart by it self.

No Blue screen occur also. I checked the pc temp. all normal.

The only thing error that might affect is SMART error, saying there are error on my hdd. I don't know if it will affect my pc as my friend say no need care bout it cause no problem one.

I checked the event log also:

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

This is what I get and it doesn't help to identify the cause at all.

It only occur when I play games. even a low spec game (Alien breed 2) also cause the problem. but other application like Matlab won't give me such problem.

Please help me if anyone have solution. Thank you.

Laptop recommandation needed

The purpose is for programming and other computer science related purposes (image processing, Matlab and so on).

good in multimedia playing.
supports gaming. (I will assume most games played in laptop will be set low spec.)

prefer 14 inches. (13 is ok.)
prefer light weight as I need to carry here and there.

Masters v.s. Working

After graduating from the university, a lots of people will choose to find a job and work. But, there are certain people who will continue their studies as a Masters or even to P.H.d.

However, people who wanted to further studies always have dilemma. This is because Masters and P.H.d without working experience will be harder to get a job.

But, there are people who said that nowadays there are too many degree holder. To be outstanding, getting a Masters is a good way. Especially in science and technology field.

So, anyone care to share their opinion on this matter?

I am now searching for a Japanese Language institute that not only providing Japanese Intensive course, but also consultancy to study aboard in Japan (Master).

Currently, I had done some survey and contact with LUJEC and Mikasano.

There are another Center that I am curious of, due to the description on their website, which is A to Z Language Center.
I tried to email them but they haven reply me. I might phone them or even go to their center.
For the time being, may I know anyone here or someone you know that had been in this center before that can give comment on them?

studying master oversea

I'm currently a student from UM, studying Computer Science, majoring in Artificial Intelligence.

I am going to graduate at end of year 2010.

I am now thinking of continue my study for master oversea.

Europe, Taiwan, and Japan is my target for now, since i though their education level is very high.
Now, my question:

1. What field is now worth study so that i can do my research for master? (unless got ppl suggest me to not do research)

2. Any good University worth pay attention on?

3. How much i need to pay if i go for these countries? (including everything)

hardgainer need help in nutrition

Before i start workout my metabolism already reach 1300 kcal... then my trainer (just for 3 session) told me to eat more...

i had search through internet but it seems i need to take supplement too during the meals (generally 6 while some of them got 7 and 8 )

so if i dun wan take supplement during meal since i only want take whey protein after 60 to 90 mins of workout 2 to 3 times per week.

and i saw some said yogurt helps too, is that true?

btw, i am 175cm tall with 49kg and now gained to 58kg. but it seems it stuck there... and my muscle seems doesn't grow that much now...

there are one site that told ppl like me to get 50% carb, 25% protein, 25% good fat. lol

Some of my friends using SE say that it delay for about 2 seconds when taking picture.
then when looking at the picture the smile on people looks not as nature anymore... lol

I want to know if all SE phone have such issue?
