Guys I need your help to explain about warranty

The story is, I bought an Iphone 5s SG Set on 10/8/16 (Foolish Me with sweet talker seller), then he said warranty 1 year. Then I believe la, using it till couple of days ago. I noticed that, the speaker become slow even though the volume maxout. Then I call the person I bought from to repair the speaker. Then he told me that the warranty for the speaker expired already. Then he explained to me each part got different warranty period. Then I asked him that he gave me 1 year warranty, suddenly become like this and didn't explain about it before that each part got different warranty.

Then he said other electronic devices also got 1 year warrant, but each parts got different period warranty.

SO THE QUESTION IS, IS IT TRUE?

I bought this card couple months ago and just use it today. I don't know what happen to my card. I just watching movie on my pc, suddenly the black screen happened and my card's fan start to spin like crazy. Had to hard restart the pc. Boot up normally, then it happened again after 10-15 min. Please help~

New Rigs for New Era of Gaming

I want to build a new gaming rig. I often play Dota 2, Assassi's Creed Series, COD, Batman and high end gaming on my laptop. But it's broken yesterday, so I'm planning on getting new rig instead w/o monitor. My budget is not more than 3.2k

My friend told me to get r9 290x and intel i7 (if it fits in the budget, if it cant it's okay)

Help me with my External WD Harddisk

Watch movie as usual.. Suddenly the movie stuck. Restart laptop, then I cant detect my Western Digital External Harddisk on my computer eventhough it's connected.

Things that I've done to recover

1) Device manager > Disk Drives > WD My Passport 0748 USB Device > Uninstall > Restart > Still not Working

2) Computer > Manage > Storage > Disk Managment > Disk1 > The request cannot be performed because of an I/O device error

3) Repeat Step 1 until uninstall > uninstall all WD software > Restart > Reinstall > Still Not Working

Help me please. There are so many data I keep inside my External, including my work.
