Laptop keeps turning off after being switched on

Hi, I'm using a Toshiba Satellite M500 running on Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. (pc is almost 3 years old now)

After switching on my pc from sleep mode, the pc will turn off unexpectedly. (sometimes while trying to startup, and then it gets messed up)

However, this doesn't happen if I switch it to hibernate mode.

I'm very sure it's not a power or battery problem because I have tested them.
I asked some pc shops about this problem and they said it might be a bug.
So I checked for bugs and such on various anti-virus softwares, but all of them say that my pc is uninfected.

Any tips to cure this problem without reformatting the pc?

And what's the proper name to call them?
It would be really interesting to shoot miniature photography with these.
Are these miniature figurines used in housing development showcases?

DIY ring flash wiring HELP!

Hi all, I NEED YOUR HELP!!
I went to a hardware store and bought a 12v car interior dome light.
I was thinking of making a battery operated ring flash out of it, because it is a ring fluorescent light.

But the problem is, There are 3 wires, POSITIVE, NEGATIVE and DOOR WIRE.
I connected the positive and negative to batteries but it didnt light up.
So i think i need to connect the door wire to something.

Can somebody help me with this please?

Hey all, I'm finding for a strap for my Canon G10/11/12.
Most shops are selling straps for DSLR cams. and its too big for my cam (and it will look funny too).
My current strap (comes with the camera) is 2.3cm wide. So i'm trying to find a slightly thicker one.
Any suggestions? Any brand will do.

Hey all. I found this guitar shop called "budget guitar" in melaka sentral.
they sell loads of brands from kapok to epiphone and b.c. rich.
and i saw an Epiphone Les Paul Custom selling for only RM990.
any idea if that shop's carrying immitation guitars or is it genuine epiphone?

Hey all. last year, I bought an Epiphone Les Paul-100.
Actually I wanted a Les Paul Standard. But it's a little off budget.
So i managed to get this Les Paul-100.
I'm a beginner, so it is good enough for me.
The thing is, it has dotted fret markers.
Where as usual Les Pauls have the standard trapezoid fret markers.
So i think it's kinda weird and thought of changing it.
They're selling the LP fret marker stickers on ebay but i prefer to buy it on lowyat.
So is anyone selling please inform me.

And, i need some advice whether i really have to change it or not, because well, most of you would say that its not really neccesary.
