Hi there,

I have an LGA x79 2011v3 3930k still lying around. (not really, it is still in a working PC albeit slowly dying)

The original mobo i had is an Asus Rampage IV extreme (non black edition), in 2017 this motherboard finally died, so i move onto with a I7-7700k with an Asus Maximus IX Extreme.

YES i do watercooling on all my main machines.

I bought a second hand gigabyte GA-X79-UD7 and slot in the CPU and made a second PC for guest and for when i am undergoing maintenance for the main pc, etc. but this second motherboard showed signs of failures too now.

Of the 4 slots (yes 4 only, not 8), 2 is faulty and won't detect any ram, nowadays even a 3rd slot is unstable and having problem detecting the ram at times.

I have no idea whether i should try it out or not, but after lurking here for so long, it is dame hard to find workable x79 motherboards (at decent price for something at least 4+ years old) or should i let go of this processor.

A brand new mobo from an unheard of brand (does it even run and what ram it uses ?) or old second hand motherboards of a trusted brand ?

3930k is still a really powerful processor, 6C/12T and the performance it can give you would not pale in comparison with more modern processors. The only downside is the heat, i am running water cooling (3930k is soldered so theres noneed to delid it) so it is still fine. But obviously if you air cool it, you need a big heatsink (but ppl who browse this forum would obviously know that duhhh)

So guys:

1. I wanna buy a working x79 motherboard (Or) is anyone interested in buying this 3930k (offer me ? RM700 ?)

2. What should i do with the old asus x79 mobo and this ailing gigabyte x79 mobo ( 1 ram slot fine, 1 slightly sick , 2 dead ) , of course their warranty period have ended.

3. I have a Gigabyte z87x-UD3 lying around with no processor, if someone has a good i7 4770 or 4790 ? k or non k version ? Please trade with the 3930k ?

Anyways i know this isnt a discussing thread, but please any comments would be fine.

WTB the original MI TV2's Soundbar, it was sold either bundled with the TV or stand alone.

Long story short, The soundbar was stolen from my condo, luckily the thieves are so pro that they only took the soundbar and a laptop adapter but not the laptop for some reason, he might had mistaken the laptop adapter for the soundbar's adapter or sth else.

Without the soundbar the sub woofer i still have is useless as it only works when connected via bluetooth to the soundbar.

Therefore i am hoping for that 0.0000001% chance a kind soul out there without a subwoofer has this discontinued product lying in their storeroom to be sold to me.

I am willing to offer up to roughly RM400 for this sound bar only depending on the condition, i dont need the sub, you can't connect 2 subs to the soundbar via bluetooth, the sub also has no connectors at all and the software is not flexible.

So in short, i still have the subwoofer which is useless without a mi sound bar, if you want it, i cheap sell it off cheap. Else i am rather actually really hoping to somehow get a mi soundbar to complete my set again.

Why are there so many thieves in malaysia...... so sad.....
