Adapter Where?!

so, we already know (or not) that an active displayport-dvi adapter is an alternative for eyefinity setup.

there are also vga-DP adapter which already provent as a cheaper and better alternative... but with some flickering issue within a few hours of the monitor operation.

SO comes mah question... Anybody from Malaysia already importing/selling these kind of adapters? my lurking has failed me and direct me to whether e-bay or supplier who didn't deliver outside States...

so? enlighten me comrades.

So... i got a budget at around RM2200 for Proc + mobo + ram, granted that i am that crazy and upgrade part by part over time, i am sold for value ram at this moment.

i've been lurking around and found that some of our forumer are selling delicious Core i7's at delicious price, granted even it is ARB set or whatever...

so the question is... should i make my next move towards X58 chipset or P55 chipset? Granted i will be wasting ±RM 1200 for proc and ram (i7 920 + 3Gb ram) or (i7 860 + 4Gb ram)...

What motherboard (chipset) shall i choose? granted i have around RM1000 give and take for a new motherboard...

I have been lurking for ± 2 weeks and i have come down to this, from AM3 to 1156 and now an option of 1366, i am not asking for a spoon fed, i am asking for opinion in case of my studies and lurking i miss something in between...

Ive been trying (well kind of) to quit WoW like forever, but in the end i will always come back rolling my face on the keyboard and pew pew away.

My account have been frozen intact for the fourth consecutive time now for like 7 month naow (grats!), but recently i am finding myself missing the werld... of warcraft. I am back to trolling the WoW forum, MMO-C, EJ and those sort. Ive even slowly in the dark accumulating mods after mods and ui... now i see that withdrawing again for the fourth time (lol?) is imminent. I am so going to see my face rolling the keyboard again Soon™.

This happen a few days ago, i merge my account with b.net and somehow out of my own stupidity(maybe unconsciously idiotic piece of crazy mindfcuked stupid brain damage of mine) bought the 60 days pre-paid card. oh how obvious!. Ive stopped WoW four times before, once three month before TBC launch, come back during the TBC launch for the lulz then quit again a month later because TBC is teh suxxor. re-roll during S1/S2 arena with a friend on a different server on a different account, quit again at the end of S2 due to study. I roll back to my old ~~server~~ realm two month before WotLK hit shelves and quit again in february also due to study and some less intelligent housemate of mind wrecking havoc all around the infinity ward (lol IW sucks) and make us move to a new house w/o interwebz connection.

Naow on my hand i got a merged account, still frozen. a sucky internet connection (lol celcom broadband) which pretty much going to change come december (yay! shitmyx) and a 60-days prepaid card.

what should i do?
1. Be an hero, topap naow and suffer
2. Be a lesser hero, wait for december, topap and still suffer
3. Sell the prepaid away (but it was gleaming with the "my preciousssssssssss" quote)
4. /wrist

Penangites will soon enjoy free wireless internet access after the state government launched the Penang Free WiFi initiative.

The Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng, officiated the kicking off of the project yesterday at Komtar.

The project, which will take between 18 to 24 months to complete, will make Penang the first state in the country to offer free wireless internet service with broadband speed to the netizens.

Those with access on the service will get connected at an average speed of 10Mbs, depending on their wireless tool’s specification.

More than 700 wireless access points will be established in the next 12 months, with he implementation of the service spearheaded by REDtone Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, a homegrown, award-winning telco solution provider, backed by its associate entity, Hotgate Technology. REDtone is also one of the four companies awarded with license to operate WiMax services in Malaysia, with the other being Packet One, Asiaspace Dotcom and YTL e-solutions.

The first access point of the free wifi internet is expected to be up and running around the Queensbay area in about 4 weeks time, followed by other area such as Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Gurney Plaza, Gurney Drive, Bukit Jambul, Macalister Road, Komtar, Tanjung Bungah and all the way to Butterworth.

Penang launches statewide free WiFi project

GEORGE TOWN: Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has launched “Penang Free WiFi” - the first step in making Penang the country’s first WiFi state.

The initiative, which is the first component of the state’s Wireless@Penang project, is aimed at giving Penangites free wireless broadband services.

“Today, Penang takes a bold step to make the entire state connected through wireless broadband and it’s a journey we want to complete within the next 18 to 24 months.

“This effort is 100% private sector driven with nearly no or minimal cost put in by the state government. However, there are no rights to exclusivity and all qualified and recognised industry players are welcome to interest of promoting competition,” Lim said at the launch in Komtar on Thursday.

He said the project was different from the Federal Government-initiated High Speed Broadband (HSBB) project costing RM11.3bil.

Lim said a preview of WiMAX@Penang, the state’s next step in providing for serious mobile Internet users who require faster speed, was scheduled for next week.

The Penang Free WiFi project is currently headed by content manager REDtone Telecommunications Sdn Bhd and service enabler Hotgate Technology (M) Sdn Bhd which will set up 750 wireless access points over the next one year.

He said the free WiFi service was already available on Komtar’s concourse level and 28th floor which houses the Chief Minister’s office.

“The WiFi service will be deployed on a ‘ripples strategy’ with simultaneous initial roll-outs in several core market centres on the island and mainland before they spread to cover the entire state,” Lim said.

REDtone group managing director Wei Chuan Beng said they would begin setting up access points in Queensbay Mall and the service should be available within the next four weeks.

“This will be followed by the areas located in Macalister Road, Burma Road, Gurney Plaza and Gurney Drive, Bukit Jambul Complex, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Butterworth and then Tanjung Bungah.

“The connection speed offered is at an average of 10 Mbps, depending on the specification of the notebooks, the speed can vary,” Wei said.

He said the REDtone-Hotgate consortium planned to invest at least RM10mil in the project but expected it to be self-funded from advertisements in the near future.
