Using google dns with Unifi

Problem details
Guys, I have set up my TP-Link 8960N to replace the sucky black Unifi router (thanks to klseet's guide).

Everything went smoothly except that I can't manually set up DNS. If I set it to to other DNS (google, opendns) I wont be able to surf the net. Chrome give me DNS error or something. I'm force to use Auto DNS and manually set DNS address on my laptop. It works but I prefer to set it up on the router.

Is there any settings I need to set inside the ZTE BTU?

If any of you guys using Unifi Biz20 with Microtik RB750G? Planning to buy one to replace the DIR-615.

Does RB750G support Static PPPOE with unnumbered IP? Please refer to the screenshot for my current setup in Dir-615.

How stable is it?

Best practice for webserver security

need guidance what is the best security practice for a webserver. well aware of the obvious - iptables, php settings and root login for ssh.

what is the appropiate permission need to be given to the skeleton folder so everytime a new user (vhost) is created the folder permissions for user's home folder already secured.

Hi. I got one old machine that use 256MB DDR PC333 ram. The question is: can PC400 ram can be use to replace the ram?

The mobo is P4M266-8233 - VIA P4M266 VT8751.

Myvi 1.3 Manual cannot start

Guys, I need your help.

My Myvi has a problem cannot start.

Originally the problem is a weak battery. When I use jumper and start the engine, it crank up but no spark from the coil.

I have another myvi to test up. Here's the steps I already done:

1. Swap the top and bottom sensor from the working myvi to mine - same no spark.

2. Swap the coil - same no spark.

3. Swap the battery - same no spark.

4. Fuse and relay all OK.

Then I use all above parts from my myvi and transfer to the other myvi. Can start OK no prob.

Is there something I need to do when replacing battery. For example resetting the immobilizer? How do I do that?

If it possible want to settle this at my home. I live in condo and my car parked at 3rd floor.

Jolicloud - OS for Netbook

I search the forum for Jolicloud for can't find any so I start this one. It's basically an OS specialized for Netbook (like Moblin and easy peasy/eeebuntu)

I recently got an invitation for testing their Alpha 2c release. I have 10 invitations so anyone have a netbook and want to test it let me know.

Can't find any "Undead" manga thread so I want to start one.

How many of you guys have read it? It's kinda new, only 1st chapter is out. The hero is somewhat a mix between Naruto and Blackstar of Soul Eater. The art is good.
