Hi all,

Do anyone heard about Pierre D'Gem before?. This company sell jewellery like those poh kong, my diamond and others but this company jewellery is synthetic type aka process diamond. This company planning to open few branches in KL and maybe up to 100 branches in future in Malaysia.
Here the story (the businees plan), the CEO of this company offer my friend to be the branch partner or branch manager. Before to be partner he need to buy 50k worth of stocks from him. After that my friend can choose a location(anywhere in M'sia) and set up a branch there. Then the company will:-

1) Pay the rental
2) Renovate the shop
3) Pay for utilities bills (electricity, water, phone etc)
4) Provide 1 staff/sales assistant for the shop
5) Supply all the stocks
6) Provide almost everything require to set up the branch except those miscellaneous items such as water dispenser, CCTV, punch card machine etc

If the shop require more than 1 staff then my friend need to hire and pay by himself but the company will provide the training. My friend will get 21.25% of the total monthly sales.

E.g 5k sales daily so 30 days is 150k. 21.255% is 31.875k. Then is like 2 months can get the return.

Now my friend ask me to join the business and split it 50:50 between us (25k each) but he is the one to be the branch manager and deal direct with the company. He will split the profit to me monthly. All this is base on what he told me and i don't if he has anything hiding behind me as he is the one who deal with the CEO. He maybe hiding the actual profit margin (more than 21.25%) or lower purchase stock price (less than 50k).

My questions are:

1) Is this a scam to you all?
2) What is the catch here, can you all spot it?
3) If happens this is true am i been use by my friend to help him to achieve his goal as branch manager or should i help him to be branch manager?
