UQ "irregular" student enrolment

It seems that the University of Queensland is in quite a bit of trouble over an alleged favouritism claim - resulting in the resignation of both the vice-chancellor and his deputy. Apparently, [/B]ONE of the students admitted into dentistry has "favourable" ties with the vice-chancellor. Now that the news is all over the place:

http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensl...f-1226188199829

http://blogs.abc.net.au/queensland/2011/11...ember-2011.html

http://www.abc.net.au/worldtoday/content/2011/s3357732.htm

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-11-07/univ...446?section=qld

Let's have a look at a similar "irregular" student admission incident in Malaysia. Last I checked the MBBS course is still listed on the CUCMS website despite over-enrolling 75 students and I believe the vice-chancellor is still enjoying his role and all the perks that come with it. I'd say Australia has a thing or two to learn from Malaysia when it comes to nepotism
