Sync folders between multiple computers?

I've both PC running windows 7 Home premium. Currently, I'm only browsing files via the Homegroup and shared libraries. When 1 PC shuts down, the other PC won't be able to access the files on that PC anymore.

I was wondering if anyone knows if Windows 7 has any built in features to help sync up 2 folder through a network?

Thanks.

Suggestion: Apply word filter for safety purpose..

I'm not sure if this is being bought up before, I tried a search and found nothing.

I'm sure the global filter to censor vulgarities are quite effective for the purpose. But I'm wondering if it can be made more useful for censoring known bank account numbers which are confirmed owned or operated by fraudsters?

For example, for people who's lazy (or find no purpose to read the Tradezone Helpdesk) will probably find something of interest to buy in Garage zone. While Fraudsters can easily create new account or simply not tagged yet with the dispute tag, the buyer might not know that they are dealing with a possible scammer.

So I suggest using the global filter to filter out known bank account numbers which is linked to frauds. Maybe from ACC# 1234567890 into [Warning! This account number has been linked to a fraud case and pending investigation.] or something like that..

This way, an innocent user can be made aware immediately that they might be dealing with a possible fraud.

I hope the filters works in Private Message Mode too.

Problem Sticking Ramsinks to GPU RAM

I've recently changed my Graphics card's cooler with Thermalright HR-03 Plus. Core temperature dropped ALOT... BUT, the ram sinks uses thermal tape which I can't really get them to stick properly to my GPU Ram. Most of them are damaged now due to it dropping and attracting dust.

I've tried using alcohol to clean the surface first, get 3M thermal Tape and even used the oven to preheat the card's surface first but they still keep falling off...

Anyone got any idea what I can do? Any better products then 3M thermal tape?

Please don't suggest me to flip my casing upside down.

Currently, I have a spare Lian Li casing with cap Ayam PSU and a couple of HDD at home.
I've also got a Pentium 4E 630 (LGA775) at home.
and I've also got 4 x 1GB DDR2 ram.

I need suggestions and opinions.

Should I get a cheap budget Motherboard to fix up the Pentium 4E or just sell off everything cause it's not powerful enough to play HD movies?

Note that I am not planning to spend anything above RM400 to fix up this system.

Any shops in Penang selling Lancool?

Was wondering if anyone knows of any shops in Penang that sells Lancool Casings?
I'm looking for K-58 in particular.

If I can find it in Penang, then it's a good alternative to Cooler master CM690 which is only slightly less then RM300. And Cooler Master is over rated.

Thanks

Can your Mom, Aunty, Uncle, grandma use win7?

Just want to voice out a bit since no one actually talked about this issue for awhile now. I think this was one big issue when Vista came out.

Since I've only 1 PC at home, sharing it with my mom and sis who're not really the very computer savvy users. I've often got complaints from them last time when I re-formated the PC and installed it with Vista.

For the record, I used XP or Vista with no problems at all yet they could always still find ways to crash the system.

This time, I've installed Win7 and was expecting lots of complains from them to bug me to put XP back. However, there was nothing. My mom even managed to enjoy the included Mahjong game and my sister managed to find her own stuff hidden in the big unmanaged tree of directories in 1 HDD.

How's your mom/dad doing with the system?

Engine Oil discussion

Just the other day, wanting to "break away" from those expensive and long queues authorized service centers, I asked my friend if he knows where I can get Royal Purple and a good workshop for my car's service.

Instead, he told me that Royal Purple isn't available in Penang and he recommended me Torco SR-5 instead. He said that it's slightly better then Royal Purple. (I was using Perodua's own Semi synthetic previously)

After the service the bills was RM90 x 3 for 3 bottles of SR-5. And I saw Some LYN forumers selling Royal Purple and even Amsoil for only around RM50 per quart/bottle (Nearly 1 liter).

That menas, even after postage, I could have gotten a better deal (If both the oil are of similar quality).

It almost felt like I had spent on an overpriced product.

I tried looking for some reviews on Torco but couldn't really find anything on it. Most of the reviews I've seen before are of Royal Purple and Redline (Which both of them receives fairly good reviews and comments).

My car is just NA K3-VE not even a single mod (Except for a stupid Pivot Raizin Voltage "Stabilizer")

I new to Fully Synthetic engine oils.

What I'm hoping is:
1) The extra cost of the oils can last me 10k service instead of the usual 5k.
2) Cooler, Quieter engine (So far it's slightly quieter and smoother)
3) Better fuel consumption and more power will be a bonus.

I've only tested it out for 2 days. Couldn't really tell much difference yet. Was wondering if anyone have extensive/good/enough/thinkso knowledge about using those performance engine oils in NA cars.

Did I just wasted RM300 for something my car just don't need?

Couldn't install 64 Bit OS

Here's my system

Biostar TA690G AM2
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
4 X 1GB DDR2 Ram
Nvidia 8800GTS 640MB (G80)

Anyway, I'm looking for some help or some others who encountered the same problem before.

Just to utilize the Full 4GB I have, I tried installing Windows 64-Bit. I've tried with Windows XP x64 and Windows 7 X64.
On the XP, the whole system becomes laggy. Everything I do will require a lag of a few seconds and every programs that runs lags about a few minutes.
On Win7, I can only boot into safe mode. I've downloaded the Windows 7 64bit driver for my display yet windows won't boot into normal mode. Diagnosing the system shows that the driver is bad. Even the generic driver inside windows won't work.

The only 64bit OS which I've tried and work was Ubuntu Linux. But I can't use that as I'm running some work applications which requires windows.

I'm stuck with 3.25GB on the 32Bit system. I tried many BIOS settings as well that doesn't help at all.
Anyone got any idea what's wrong?

It's to be used with my old NF7-S It requires a -5V line which most ATX PSU now currently doesn't have.
Tried using a new Power supply without -5V but my PC will lag badly.

I tried searching, Vantec Ion2+, Gigabyte Odin, Cooler Master, etc... None of them have -5V
The only one which has a -5V slot in its listing is Silverstone ST50F but the listing is all marked with "/" so I'm not sure if it really exist or not.

I need help looking for a power supply with -5V if anyone knows of any brand with it.
Need about >450W.

Thanks.

I can't sleep.

I earn half of what he earns.
I have half the muscle mass of what he has.
I have half the guts of what he dares.
but I am feeling miserable that she is with him.

Of course, "Spanar" is a word most will consider bad. But what do I do when I can only think of her day and night with everything I do. Love is the only thing I'm confident I have a lot more then him. And I'm also angered by the way he treats the girl I love. He makes her cry and stresses her so much. She does most of his homework until she only gets to sleep a few hours a day. She goes to work trying to look happy yet deep down she's so tired. Still, he demands so much sexual favors from her whenever he himself is stressed.

He has friends who supports him. but I have only strong feelings for her.

Still, Spanar is bad? The stories she tells me and the way I see he treats her makes me feel no pity for him even if he is my friend. In fact, should I even continue to call him as a friend?

I don't care about her history.
I will risk loosing friends to be with her. I will risk loosing face and being talked bad to be with her.

She's smart and intelligent. She's also so pretty and so cute. not a model but Beautiful in her own way. Tough as a man and at the same time soft as a lady.
She plays computer and video games and watches anime. Watches horror movies while eating instant mee. sings so softly with the music playing in the radio. And I can never bore myself falling for her again and again.

I have given myself a promise which is never to break up any other couples for my own benefits. I have only expressed my feelings for her and done nothing else. I will not ask someone to beat him up, I will not find all the bad things he's been doing behind her back and I will not prevent him for trying to be a nicer person because he knows I like her.

I will only wait for her.

I only have one favor to ask of you guys...
Pray for me.

Thank you.

PS: Knowing this is LOWYAT.NET and especially a KOPITIAM sub forum, I feel a little stupid writing this here cause I don't know how serious the response will be.

Suggestion...

Just wanna give a suggestion for the BJ complex's branch.

Just the other day (around last month), I was there looking for 2 things. A headset, and a webcam. I've already targeted the 2 specific brand and model. I saw the Quickcam Fusion at your shop and directly asked the price for it.

Then, I ran over to SwissPac to get a Logitech USB Headset. When I came back for the Webcam, I only realized that you guys have the same headset as well and also at a cheaper price.

Perhaps you guys should find a way to redo the layout in there abit...
The products on the walls are not really level. Some sticks out and some are almost hidden (Example, the headset section is kinda hidden behind the pillar..

The middle part of the shop, I can't recall what you guys are selling cause I usually never look at the middle part of a shop unless the products are placed on shelves with price tags and lables.

Just my 2 sen...

PS: Besides, It's good exercice.. You guys all look thin thin and need more muscles
