(Photo) New Kia Rio Spotted at North South Express

On my way northwards towards Ipoh, I've spotted a car with masked lamp on a truck driving northbound (presumably towards Gurun Naza Plant?) If it is on the truck, it could be very near to its launch?

Price below 70k?
New Perdana very very soon! (with Pict)

From CBT,

Syed Zainal confirmed that the government ministries will soon be getting a new Perdana to replace the current model.
"This is a niche market and it does not justify us spending hundreds of millions to develop one," leaked Syed Zainal.
He revealed that Proton will import one model from Japan, rebadge it into a Proton and make it available only to government ministries.
It is understood that the new Perdana will sport two engine capacities - 2-litre and 2.4-litre models. It is based on a Japanese D-segment car which is also sold in Australia.
There is also high probability that the car will be made available to the domestic market if there is strong demand.
Our source also informed us that if Proton does not come up with a replacement soon enough, DRB-Hicom will be glad to offer the Honda vehicles as the government official cars, opening the floodgates to other brands as well in the future."

Mitsubishi 380 aka Perdana

FINALLY, the Mitsubishi 380 which have been kept at Proton warehouse for more than 2 years can be reveal....soon.

The front is quite boring also ....

Interior is quite upmarket with Tiptronic Gearshift!!!

Rear was just so lame and boring

Seagate FreeAgent Xtreme/Desk 1.5TB reliable?

Hi, I'm looking for an external 3.5" HDD. I found that there is only Seagate which offer 1.5TB at a reasonable price around RM 500. However, I'm worried of Seagate because of a lot user facing HDD failure after using for not a long time. I noticed that most case are the usual internal HDD but does that problem happen to their external HDD?

And where is Seagate RMA location in case the HDD got problem? I stay at Penang n I plan to get 1 when I go to KL. Is it adviceable to buy at Lowyat or instead buy other HDD at penang (since Seagate External HDD is only available at Lowyat, KL).

Thanks.

Ways to set WIN XP to detect 4GB memory?

I've heard Win XP Professional can only detect the highest memory of 3GB. But my fren say there is some way to tweak it or do some setting so that the XP can detect 4GB memory. My laptop spec is at my signature.

So is there any way to make my laptop to be able to detect n use 4GB DDR2 memory?

Thanks.

CAMCORDER DISCUSSION--Why there isn't any?

Hai everyone, it seems like nobody is discussing about camcorder here. Or is it any camcorder topic here? Kindly show me if got any, thanks

Anyway, I'm thinking of buying a new HDD camcorder with budget of around 2k. There is not much option left, PANASONIC HDR-S60, SONY SR42 and JVC EVERIO series. I dont know much about camcorder. Some of my questions :

1) does the sensor really that affect a lot of the video quality? Like the 1/6" and other bigger sensor?
2) What is the difference between those LP, SP apart from their recording length. Will we see the difference clearly about its quality?
3) Does the 3CCD sensor really makes wonder for the video?
4) Is the lens brand important for a camcorder? What is the difference of quality if we compare a LEICA lens and a PANASONIC of a PANASONIC camcorder?
5) How do we going to burn out the video recorded in the videocam into DVD? Do we need to do those conversion which took ages to complete? I've seen my friend converting its SONY DVD camcorder for a night before it can be burn out into a normal size DVD

Appreciate for your answers.

2.5" external hard disk life and usage..

I've just bought an 2.5" WESTERN DIGITAL SATA Hard disk with an OEM enclosure. The enclosure is Rm29 with USB connection on the hard disk side and double USB connection on the laptop side.

Some of my questions :

1) Is it okay to let the external HDD to be run all the time? I mean the enclosure is an OEM, not branded like COOLER MASTER. So will it overheat and fail? Do I have to disconnect it when I dont want to use it?

2) I heard that the connection cable (with 1 USB n a double USB head) is easy to fail n very hard to find and quite expensive, is it true?

3) Sometimes when there is no transfer process or reading process from the hard disk, when I want to "SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE" from the laptop, it says cannot. Then how to make it OK to remove leh? Will it ruin my HDD if I just simply remove the USB connection?

4) Any recommendation of how to properly use the external HDD so that it can last?
