It first started out with a group of young talented<br />musicians, drawn together by a deep-seated passion for classical music. Held with this common interest,<br />the group then formed this orchestra with each member contributing their very own skills and touch to<br />bring to live their passion in music.<br /><br />PJPO is made up of varied individuals – professionals, students and hobbyist, in different walks of life<br />who gather together to make music just because they love it.<br /><br />We believe that greater joy can be found in playing as a Group as compared to an individual playing<br />a single musical instrument in solidarity. In playing as a Group, a larger repertoire of music and more<br />challenging works are made available where it cannot be performed individually. One would also learn<br />to widen one’s scope and understanding of music, appreciation and interpretation – not to mention<br />patience and focus&#33;<br /><br />Throughout PJPO’s 29-year history, the existence of the PJPO has been made possible through the<br />generosity of parents, teachers, friends and students. It is not backed by any government funding or<br />large sponsorship.
