Acid Rain is the new toy line that were designed by Kit Lau and produced by OriToys in Hong Kong that just begun its launch and exposure.

The world of Acid Rain is set in the dystopia post apocalyptic future where war is still being waged on under the polluted wasteland.

These action figures consisting of pilots, soldiers and drivers are at 3.75 inch in height (the same size as you would have with the G.I. Joe action figures).

The action figures are highly articulated and poseable, and each comes with removable vests, helms and comes with their own weapons.

If you have any G.I. Joe figures with extra accessories, they are even compatible with them too (or any 3.75 inch figures)

Whereas their vehicles/mecha are scaled at 1/18 size. That's right. Vehicles that transforms into Mechs for all of you Real Mech fetish fans out there.

Each figure and mech is painted with high detail of weathering to give them more authentic feel and look for the Post Apocalypse.

Currently, OriToys had released Wave 1 consisting of 4 different sets:

Sol Commander Set only consists of 1 action figure and accessories consisting of: Vest, Helm and Rifle

The Winged Victory of Samothrace Set consists of: 2 action figures, Vest x2, Helm x2, Rifles x2, brick road base x1, and a broken angel statue x1

Speeder Mk.II Set consists of: 1 action figure, Vest x1, Helm x1 and the Speeder Mk.II mech. It also comes with removable accessories such as: Briefcases x2, Shovel x1, Pickaxe x1

StrongHold Set consists: Stronghold mech, Missiles x4. It doesn't come with any action figure but it does have a gimmick. Batteries can be placed inside of Stronghold to activate the light up monitor screens inside the cockpit

Any of you guys bought anything online that cost more than RM 500 internationally? If so, once the item arrives at custom, do they notify you that you need to pay the tax or you have to go over to KLIA to settle this? I only bought 1 item that's a custom made helmet.

Folks in the thread were asking what's the update and what happened to my relationship.

That thread gotten derailed pretty badly but in that thread, i did update that she gave me a chance to work out with the dying relationship.

Because she told me that "at least i owed you that much", like some obligation and debt towards me. As if this doesn't mean much to her anymore.

So here's what happened...

During and after my visit to her in Taiping, she grew distant and cold.

I tried to spend more time with her in nightly video chats and spent longer time in phone calls.

Sometimes, she would actually shown me her love for me. I was happy to see her like that, as if i'm doing something right.

But for most of the times, she could be cold and distant.

She planned to come down to KL on March 14th, and wanted to spend those couple days with me as she had plans to meet up her group of guy friends on Saturday, March 16th. The same group that she's been hanging out since August lat year.

So we took our leaves and said that we can't wait to see each other in that week.

On Friday March 8th, she was quiet and moody in both MSN and FB. Later in the evening, she told me that she can't be with me anymore.

She gave herself a very long thought about the relationship and decided, that she can't be with me anymore.

Her reasons? In the beginning on Jan 31st, she told me that i didn't put enough effort to the relationship.

On March 8th, she tells me that i couldn't take care of her family as much as she would to her own. I'm a single child, my dad had long passed away since i was 13 years old, my only family is my mom.

On March 11th, we talked again. And this time, she tells me that in truth? She wanted to focus more on her career in Taiping and she couldn't focus her on career coz i'm in her life. She don't want to hurt me by continuing on with the relationship, coz she knows that i want us to move in together in KL.

She don't want to work in KL because the company that she wanted to go for, is falling out (massive amount of people getting fired).

With her current job, she puts her investment into the company. Also, she likes her boss, like a father figure to her.

She didn't want to get married so early (at least until she's thirty). Then she tells me she's not interested in marriage coz she wants to focus on her career.

I'm already 32 and had waited for her to complete her project for 3 years. Patiently waiting for her so we can live together in KL. Because she promised to come down to KL and live with me once she completed her project in the first year.

Then i found out, that she given up that idea in the second year and decided to put more focus on her career and didn't want to live with me in KL anymore.

All the while, she didn't want to tell me about this issue because she don't like to share her problems with anyone...not even to me and i'm her boyfriend (well, now i'm her ex).

But i was prepared for the inevitable outcome. She still expects me to talk to her via phonecalls if i have any problems.

But it's hard to call her without me breaking apart.

It's been a week after the break up. She's been having fun with hanging out with her group of guy friends (all IT nerds) in KL. Not a single phone call, not even a single final meet up to end this closure. Where did she stayed? No idea, probably one of the guys' home or because that's what i found out when she posted in her FB.

And i'm here in the office, fallen sick, coughing like mad, having flu and trying to quit smoking. Also, i might left out some stuff but i'm too blur to even think right now.

And that's it. That's why she broke up with me.

She stays in Taiping and i stay in KL. We don't often see each other in person but we make it up with video chat and once a month, she'll come down to KL to visit me for a few days.

That's how our long distance relationship work.

Last night, like every other nights, i would log on to MSN to have our nightly video chat. She blurted out these words to me in the chat..."We need to have a serious talk".

I seen a lot of movies that this isn't a good news and i knew i was expecting doom.

She tells me that she wanted to break off the relationship. We've been together for 2 years now, went pass our 2nd anniversary even.

The first year, was kinda shaky as we tend to have arguments and its usually she's the one that started it.

By the 2nd year, i wanted to make her happy and avoid the arguments coz that's not healthy in relationships.

Last night, she tells me that i'm not putting up the effort in our relationship.

Reasons being that, i don't do as much video chats with her, or that i don't even visit her. I know, i know, it's my fault. I don't like going to Taiping coz there's nothing to do for us couples there. Unless we go to Ipoh. I would rather that she comes down to KL, at least we can go out dating in the city (and i live in the city). I could treat her meals, movies, etc. But in Taiping, there's nothing to do and if you want those kinda stuff, you have to go down to Ipoh. Yes, i know, it's a selfish reason but there are benefits. As for the video chats, some days, i would like to have an alone time, most guys and gals would.

She then tells me that her love for me had wane off, and the feelings for me weren't like the first year. She even said that, she felt stress both at work and towards at me, and she's been keeping it in her for a few months. It was only last month that she realizes the problem.

Now, a little bit info about myself: I'm not a very social-able person. Because i had been mostly alone to myself for many, many, many years. I don't have much friends, maybe 2-3 that i like to hang out with. I'm an introvert and i also hate mingling with people, especially strangers. I don't like to even go out alone unless someone's there to accompany me.

But if she's around with me, i would enjoy going out with her. Before she came into my life, i was on the verge of seeing the pointlessness of existing. I was lonely, and very few people can truly understand me. I can't break into a conversation with people that i don't fully know well. But after she came into my life, i felt happier being with her. I don't bother with other women, only her.

Now, that doesn't mean, i talk to her that very often. She and i? 2 totally different people and we like different things, so it's hard for us to get interested in each other's interests. I tried but i can't, and she tried and she can't either. But i still make the effort to get involve with her whenever she tells me about what's happening to her daily life. Other times, she'll just keep quiet and i have to make the effort to get her to talk.

You see, despite that we don't have anything in common to talk about, i tried to get myself involve in her life. Despite all of that, i can only show her physically that i love her. Hugging her, kisses, cuddling.

Anyways, let's continue on, shall we? She tells me that she wanted to break off the relationship, and she's been thinking about it for months. She didn't have the heart to tell me months ago, so she hid the truth and continue to lie to herself in the relationship. But now? She couldn't take it anymore.

I just don't understand that she would just tell me all of this and i don't know why she didn't wanna discuss about our relationship problems months before hand...and suddenly, she pops out this jaw breaking news.

I always thought, whatever happens in relationships, if there's a problem, if both parties are wiling to work it out then from there, it would improve, right?

She didn't think so. That's what boggles my mind. I asked her if she hates me, she said no. Does she still love me? She then said..."I really like you...but the love isn't there".

Do you know the feeling that you really pour out all your love for someone...then they just take this knife and stab you in the heart so hard but, you, being a dumb person...just couldn't want to let go of her? Yeah, that's how i feel. I was angry, yes. Disappointed? Yes. But i don't hate her. But i felt betrayed.

Yes, anyone of you that reads this, will think that, "Yeah, you should have put more effort into your relationship" or that it's my fault.

It's quite difficult to do all of that if she's not even interested to know mine? I would know a lot of things about her. But she don't bother to know mine. That's what saddens me the most. I always thought that in relationships, couples should equally share each other's interest or know more about their lives. She don't bother to know mine. Whenever i tried to talk about myself to let her know more about me? She became uninterested. Responses would be "Yeah", "Uh huh", "Okay". That really annoys me...and sometimes pisses me off during the first year. I tried not to dwell into that in the 2nd year.

So, onward with the story...i gotta apologize that i kept getting sidetracked. Anyways, i asked her if there's any chance to try to improve our relationship at all?

She tells me, "Even if my love for you isn't there, you still want to pull me up and don't want to give up?"

"That you want to continue to risk this relationship that, may turn ugly in the future?"

At that point, i'm not willing to give her up. I love her too much. You might be telling me "There's plenty of fish out in the sea"...well, i'm in the desert right now and there's only 1 fish there...and it's her.

I said i won't give up on her and is willing to try to work out the kinks and faults in the relationship.

She then said "Convince me".

Despite that i just told her that i won't give up on her....i tell her that again.

And you know what's the real kicker response i get?

"Okay. I owe you at least this much, so we'll give it a try".

"Owe you at least this much". That response really hurt my feelings, you know? As if our relationship is like a debt and she had to repay her debt to me. Why? Why do you have to say it that way?

But even when we agreed to give this relationship a chance...deep down in my heart? Things had changed. Coz i know that she don't have as much love for me as she used to have for me. That our relationship will be different.

She then tries to act like the entire thing didn't happened and continues on with her normal conversation in the phone, after the video chat.

After our phone call, i lay on the bed and i can't sleep. Yes, the weather was hot last night, but i was thinking about the situation.

I was planning to visit her this weekend to rekindle our relationship.

Today, i asked her if she's free on the weekends...but she had other plans and will be busy. Friday night she had plans with a friend of hers, and Saturday, she's heading down to Ipoh to do some CNY shopping spree.

I asked her, why don't i visit her during CNY? Again, she brushed me off, saying that her relatives and siblings are coming back, and there's no room for me to stay in her home. And all the hotel rooms are booked in Taiping.

I really...really wanted to fix this relationship. But i couldn't and i can't because of situations like these. I fear that our relationship isn't going to work out well in the future.

I prepared my heart for this. I am saddened by this event. You know, she said that, if we broke off the relationship...she'll miss me very much but she'll move on.

And myself? I don't know what to do anymore. There is only hopelessness.

Pros:

- Not a heavy grindfest. Every MMO will have a grindfest, but for this game, you can either grind by killing mobs or do quests or craft.

- Sense of achievement whenever you gain a level, improved your skills/craft skills and unlock new stuff to craft (especially the vehicle that you longed to have since level 1)

- Territorial capture allows you and your faction with benefits

- Help chat that can help newbie players by other players/GMs 24/7

- Vast world to explore

- Many vehicles to ride onto the wasteland

- Vehicles with guns on them

Cons:

- If you don't like crafting and have no patience, chances are, that you might not enjoy this game

- Slow learning curve. The game takes a while to learn and get used to.

- Awkward controls but solvable with changing the keys.

- Slow leveling curve. Players that enjoys fast leveling may not like this

- No take-backs if you put the points to your attributes/skills unless you use cash item.

- AFK crafting limits to 8 hours unless you subscribed to their subscription.

- Time consuming (but then again, most MMOs are like that).

No connection for the past 2 days

Hello everyone,

I posted my streamyx problem in one of the threads but did not get any help at all, so i made a new thread and seeking advise from the tech heads in here.

2 days ago, i have the same at night when i came back home from work. I can't connect to my internet the whole entire night and the modem is indeed blinking. The desktop connection icon doesn't show any disconnected icon. It lasted even until the nextr morning before i leave for work.

The DU Meter that i installed, shows erratic and non-stagnant flow of green/yellow bars (meaning, it kept on splitting the bars).

I also noticed when i check last night, that when i click on the connection icon, it shows that i have 580 being sent and only 100 packets being received.

Usually, whenever i receive such similar problems, it only happen once every few months or so and i gotten it several times last year on 2009. So normally i just shut my PC down for the night and the next morning it comes back normal (except for the past 2 days).

I'm wondering if there's any connection to the migration from TMNet? I stay in Bukit Bintang, and it is a major town.

Anyone else is having such problems, especially those who stays in Bukit Bintang and can anyone provide me any advises to this problem?

Also, i refuse to call the hotline (as many have experienced the customer service's usual repetitive same questions and answers, and the long wait) nor even want to go to their office (due to the long queue)

Do you still manage to keep your 80s or 90s toys in 1 piece? It doesn't matter if it lost a few accessories, to be honest, i too lost a lot of their accessories too

I managed to scrouge up in my store room and found dozens of my 80s and 90s toys still intact

Anyone out there collect any G.I. Joe action figures yet?

Especially the 25th anniversary 3.75-inch action figures? I started my collection since last November/December and have been collecting them until now. So far that i've counted, i have about 60 figures here, gonna need to hit the 100 marker

RC 1/16 Tanks

Hi all, i'm not sure if there's a thread for this since i don't think i seen any for several pages. I recently purchased a RC 1/16 Tiger I tank (i'm a big avid fan to tanks) and i was wondering if anyone have collected these RC tanks? I look forward to collect a few more like King Tiger and Leopard tanks (i hope they release a Maus). I learnt that these RC tanks can be equipped with the Battle System, does anyone know where to get it in KL? There's also a few questions to the RC tanks collectors like, how much abuse can the tank take in rough terrains (open grounds)? Also, is there any place that sells metal RC tanks? Those babies can crush a toy car!

For those who don't have any knowledge about them, they can fire BB pellets (6 mm size) and according to their manuals, up to the range of 25 to 30 meters (i'm not sure if it's true or not but i'm gonna test it out tonight). It has some lighting and various sound effects from starting the engines, to firing the turret (with shock effect) and machinegun sounds.

The drums behind the tank generates smoke. A very nice cosmetic effect there

Hi, i'm currently am running a D20 (Pulp Hero) WWII Occult using core rulebooks from D20 Modern, D20 Past, D20 Urban Arcana and D20 Apocalypse. The game setting is having the players playing as Allied troops that are trained to combat against the Nazis secret occult projects during the year of 1946. Think of it like the movie, Hellboy or Indiana Jones' Raiders of the lost Ark and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Players are given additional choices to play even Psionics (Psychics), Arcane or Divine magic or take the role as the pulp scientist to invent weapons or gadgets.

The game is played in Bukit Bintang area, KL, every Sunday morning. If interested, PM me about it.
