Cosmetic reno for 916sqft Apartment in Selayang

This is my first apartment. It is currently for own stay.

At first, I wanted to paint the wall with a new color, changed the skirting to wooden type and upgrade the doors.

But due to limited budget, I scrapped all the above and focus on cosmetic renovation instead.

I carefully select the best fittings (within budget) based on what is already in the apartment (wall color, door color and kitchen cabinet).

What do u guys think of this apartment? Alam Prima. Located at Seksyen 22, Shah Alam. Near to Puri Aiyu Condo and Subang Hi-tech. Still new. Subsale price is affordable. Around RM220-250k. SPNB project. Size is 850 sq ft. The launch price is less RM100k I believe.

Based on my findings, there was issue with construction delays and CF.

Buying old subsale house

Hi guys,

Need your opininon. I found a few old single storey house (freehold) in kajang and subang jaya. I think more than 20 years old already. Their selling price is quite ok... 250k to 350k. Some of the house already did basic renovation like new paint, new gate, windows and down lights so I dont need to fork out my own money to do the renovation.

My question is... is it wise for me to buy this type of houses? I'm new to property. Is it easy for me to get bank loan (normal 90% from house price)?

Hi guys,

I'm planning to purchase my first property.

My budget is quite tight. I'm not willing to go more than RM250k.

I'm looking for a place that is near to my workplace (Petaling Jaya). Easy for me to go to work. Purchase for own stay. Maybe sell it after few years.

I have this two property in my list.

1. Townvilla Townhouse in Taman Tasik Puchong. Leasehold. Still new. Maybe need to do basic renovation a bit.

2. D'Palma Apartment in Pusat Bandar Puchong. Freehold. Looks a little bit old (don't know when is the exact completion year). Move in condition.

So, basically I need your opinion. Which one is better... for own stay (couple of years) and maybe sell it later.

Or other suggestions?
