Hi,

I am planning to get an auto gate and the system for my new house.

I wonder if it's worth going for those Beugates/Delux/Alugate/Wecogate/etc

or just order the gate from the fabricator and the autogate system from supplier and get a technician to install.

I think latter wont cost as much as the former.

Contractor charges me for smoothing my housewalls

Hello,

I am renovating my house. Previously, my contractor quote me an amount to paint my whole house wall. Now he said my wall is not smooth, want to charge me additional RM5000 to smoothen my wall.

Is it normal that contractor charges us separately the smoothing part when he also quoted me separately me for painting and construct new walls?

Does RM5000 make sense for a 22 x 75 house.

I feel like it's too expensive and mcm kena up car like that.

We never talked before as I havent moved in and I already have authority approval to renovate.

He asked me to go to indian barbershop to fix it.

Can it really be fixed? I thought it's genetic problem....

Interview with proposal presentation

I got an interview this Friday.

I'm asked to present some strategies which I'd employ if I am hired.

Wonder if this is normal... I feel like If I don't get hired or I didnt accept the offer, they would still use my strategies and eventually compete with my current company which is in the same industry.

Has anyone experienced this? Do you think it's okay if we subtly present the strategies? I am just going to the interview for fun.. to see how much my market value is and experience an interview from our competitor..

inb4 if strategies no good, they wouldnt hire u.

Contractors slow in responding to new business?

I am planning to have a major house renovation.

I have contacted three contractors but none of them seem to be eager to give a quotation as if they are dragging on purpose.

They are like have many businesses.. economy very good.. I am still waiting for one contractor since 1-2 months and the other contractors 2-3 weeks already and still no quotation.

Anyone has experienced this before?

Shall we give bonus to resigned staff?

My superior pushed me to push my staff but she in front of my staff acts like very good, angelic superior. Makes me the bad person. Kuli life.

Now I also stop being bad person..just treat my staff nice.. no need to push them so hard..

Downloaded Character Pass (6 new characters) for MvC and also downloaded each character separately on the store but I still can't play the character.

Does anyone here know any solution?

Could it be this issue: My game (disk) is region 2 and the add ons (character pass) I downloaded is for Asia.

Transfer to another subsidiary

I am thinking to transfer to another subsidiary.

Among these individuals:

1)Current subsidiary CEO,
2) new subsidiary CEO and
3) group CEO (founder)

Whom do you think I should check with first regarding the transfer ?

If I check first with current one, what If the new one doesn't want to accept me.

If I check first with the new one, worried that he would feel disrespected

If I don't check with 3), what if 1) and 2) agreed but 3) doesnt agree and ask me stay where I am.

I am stressed about sales for the company. It seems like no-one really cares because it's not their kpi.

Don't they realize if the sales no good, revenue will be affected and in turn, affect their bonus/salary especially at this time.

My staff mcm don't care, CEO not supportive of marketing/sales effort and strategies.

So stressed that I can wake up in the middle of the night thinking about work.

How do u guys deal with stress from work ? I don't want it affect my life at home. I have a young family.

Just want to ask for some opinion. I have been offered a new job. Descriptions are as below. Which option would u go for and why ?

Current job:
Salary: 7k
-Manager Level
-Very near my house
-Manage a group of staff
-Marketing and sales
-Working environment is okay. Career growth is there but I find it difficult to be working with people from other departments in this company; being in the sales and marketing department, my work is affected by inefficiencies in other departments. End up fixing their mistakes which affect my real job scope and kpi. This is the main reason why I tried looking for another job at the first place. What I like about this job is having the flexibility. The owner of the company seems to be okay with me. Was countered offer once which was accepted. Department KPI is on my shoulder alone though hit it 4 years in a row and still low bonus.

New job offer:
-Salary: 8.5k
-Senior Executive
-A little farther away
-No more managerial experience
-IT & Marketing
-working environment: not sure.

Managerial Level Disliked by Others

I am a marketing and sales manager, and have been in the managerial level for 4 years.

I find that some staff from other departments dislike me. Is it normal?

Due to the nature of my work, I can be impatient and rushing at times but I do it in a polite manner. I dont raise up my voice even if I'm angry. Could it be that I always look serious? I just don't have time to be going around smilling with everyone and make everyone happy. I focus on my work.

But to be frank, these people are so lazy and slow.. cant work with these retards.

Just want to ask ktards' opinion if it is normal that managerial positions are disliked by staff most of the time?

New company:

Small growing company; new environment; no politics as mentioned by the people who interviewed me; small number of employees 30-50

Current company:

Big company; Stressful environment; politics; too much bureaucracy; big number of employees 500+

Any other factors that I should consider?
