Wallet for wife's birthday

Hi all, wife's birthday coming soon so thinking of getting her a new wallet. Her current wallet is a cheapo long zip-around wallet in light pink so thinking of getting one in similar style but a more decent brand and quality. Budget around 1k or less so was looking at Braun Buffel. Also looked at Coach, MK, Fossil, Elle, but the design doesn't seem to be that nice and doesn't seem to have the colour/type that I'd like.

This is the wallet I'm looking at in Cream colour but I am also open to other options. I'm not well versed in women's brands and I just know BB as a men's brand and apparently it's 49% owned by a Malaysian company and not really that popular in Germany eventhough they claimed to be from there?

Trying to post a small item back to China for repairs, thought of using flexipack or small packet based on the information on their website, went to the post office and waited for an hour just to be told that those services are not available due to covid and only EMS is available.

Like wtf, nowhere on their website or product pages does it informs the customers that. News article that I found saying services are put on hold were from last year, and a news article from April saying EMS is reinstated. 🤦

So what other cheap solutions are there for delivering small item to China? It's a small box weighing 50grams.

Looking to get a new helmet and leaning more towards the Shoei Neotec 2. Any suggestions on where is the cheapest to get it? Plain colour will do. Was also considering the AGV SportModular or save money and buy the HJC RPHA 90 instead.

Good office chair?

Hi guys, I am a slip disc sufferer and recently my condition had improved but I want to upgrade my office chair. My company had verbally approved my request of upgrading my cheap-ish high back normal office chair with an ergonomic office chair and I would need to get some quotations to submit to my company to buy it.

What office chair is good, how much is it and where can I view it? I would prefer to sit on it personally to test it out first before deciding.

Suggestion for Chinese Wedding Dinner location

Hi guys, am planning to have my wedding dinner in around October and am now on the hunt for a suitable location. Requirements are of course price, preferably max cap at 1.2k nett per table, am planning around 25 tables or so with around 2-3 tables HALAL for my colleagues and other Muslim friends. Plan to have beer and wine but no hard liquor for the guests.

So far shortlisted and visited

1. Dynasty Dragon Summit USJ - So far the cheapest option, menu seems decent, halal menu seems depressing, but I can opt for external catering and the guy told me they charge extra RM150 per table if external caterer. Location is good since it is nearby my house, ballroom is nothing to shout about, but nothing exactly wrong about it either other than the low ceiling. Buy 10 table free 1, free house wine for each table. Nil corkage charge for liquor, wine and beer. So far have no friends or family who had personally attended a wedding there or ate there recently, so no idea on the quality of food.

2. Grand Harbour Da Men Mall USJ - Food costs more but I had heard good reviews about the food. Ballroom looks very nice and presentable. Their 'Halal' food selection though seems to be a problem. They offered me their 'Halal' food from MyThai downstairs but after some checking, MyThai does not have a Halal certificate though the person at the restaurant claims that their food is 'halal' in terms of ingredients and preperations I guess. They do not have halal cert apparently due to the fact that they serve alcohol. Also getting external caterers might be an issue as the lady told me they will charge extra RM500 per table if I were to hire an external caterer. I also do not qualify for their cheapest menu as I do not meet the minimum required tables.

3. Noble Mansion Plaza 33 - Hall looks very nice as well, I had heard good things about the food here but if I were to choose here it will be the cheaper menu option. Halal menu looks depressing as well, forgot to ask how much they charge if I were to hire external caterers. The day I want they only have the Lunch slot available as someone else had taken the dinner slot.

Also went to look at Oversea Restaurant in Subang Parade but sadly they had already closed for business. Am planning to look at Moon Palace in Puchong tomorrow. Am open to suggestions, any other decent chinese restaurants around the area that serve good food and decently priced? Also would like suggestions on Certified HALAL catering. Google brought me to Teaffani, will message them tomorrow and ask for quotation.

18" Rear Tire 130/70-18

Hi guys, recently picked up an old Yamaha XJ600 and the rear tires are 130/70-18 and around 7-8 years old, cracking all over. Would like to change the tires if possibble but the size is not a common size. Anybody know where might have tires for this size? I see the ZXR250/ZX-2R rear tire is 140/60-18 and I might be able to use that. Where do I get these tires?

Hi guys, just received my GENUINE Yoobao Long March 11200mAh power bank and confirmed genuine via all the methods shown on their website and everywhere in the net plus online validation also confirms it as genuine as well. Just happened to shine through the power bank with my flashlight and it seems that one of the batteries is missing from the device.

you can clearly see in this link that the power bank comes with 4 pieces of 18650 batteries connected in parallel but when i shine a flashlight through it, it looks like it's missing a cell.

I also weighed the power bank and it weighed in at 200g on my kitchen scale instead of the advertised 253g.

Attention guys, Thundergod_cid(local Threebond seller) and Mxsteven's(KilleRom developer) proton waja just got stolen on 12th June, 1230am at Fireball Cafe, Jalan Menara Gading 1, CHERAS.

It's pretty hard to miss with its chameleon green/purple colour complete with R3 bodykit and large intercooler upfront with 17" dark bronze rims.

Hi guys, just wanted to share my experience today. I study in Kampung Melayu Subang and i parked my car at a nearby apartment's parking lot. After class, when i was walking towards my car I noticed a piece of paper on my windscreen. At first i thought it was saman but thats impossible since its an apartment outdoor parking lot and it don't look like a flyer. When i actually got to my car and opened up the piece of folded paper to read, guess what it says?

walked 2 rounds around my car trying to search for the scratch that he mentioned and i can't find any since my car is already pretty covered in scratches anyway. After I went home, called him and he didn't picked up. Sent him a message instead.

I didn't expect a reply as i suspected that may be some other people's number he had written down instead of his own since the message stated 'telefon nombor ini' instead of 'telefon saya'. Surprisingly, one hour later i got a call from the same number and its the guy who scratched my car. He called me up and apologised for scratching my car eventhough I said I didn't mind and when i said I couldn't even find the scratch, he told me its at the driver's side door.

How I wish there were more good guys like him in this world. Faith in humanity restored

PC hibernates by itself

Hi guys, got a problem on my pc which had lasted for about 2 weeks already.

After around 5 minutes of idle, my PC will enter sleep mode and awhile after that the pc will hibernate by itself. Weird thing is i've checked all my power settings and its all set to 'Never' and power profile is at high performance. Already checked the advanced settings and nothing seems out of the ordinary. Checked event logs and it said 'System entering sleep. Sleep Reason: System Idle' source is Kernel-Power.

Had been cracking my head already and still can't solve it. If i play music with Winamp without touching the PC it won't enter sleep mode though.

Was bored yesterday so decided to head out to Putrajaya to snap some shots of my buddies

Shots taken with a Panasonic LX3 in RAW and post-processed using Photoshop Camera RAW

Lets see what a 10mp 2-year-old enthusiast compact is capable of at this time of age

The moving shot was by far the hardest. Sat on the back of my friend's bike facing the back while holding the camera attached to the tripod. Shot around 20 or more shots i think with quite a number of re-runs.

Blood group confusion

I'm currently 18 and serving my National Service now and yesterday I just went for blood donation. According to their tests, i'm a type A, but after that i found out that my mom is a B while my father is an O. So I'm wondering, is this possible or did the hospital make a mistake with the blood test? In secondary school biology they taught us that B type and O Type can only have an O type or B type child only so now I'm kinda confused

New car

Hey guys, my mom said she wants to get me a new car eventhough I said I wanted a 2nd hand one, so now the choices available is either a viva, Myvi, saga or my personal choice, a Satria neo. Previously I was driving a kelisa but i screwed it up so i need to get a replacement for it since I'll be using the car for work/studies daily. Main point is that the car have to be practical since I'll be using the car on a daily basis so servic, spare parts etc should be reasonably good.

I'm a big guy, 176cm tall and weighs 93kg so in my mind the viva is already out since the kelisa I was using previously was already a little cramped and the viva is slightly smaller if not mistaken. The Myvi is a nice car but it's kinda too common and the engine is a 3 cylinder, so theoretically it should introduce more vibration and noise into the cabin like my old kelisa. The saga on the other hand is is bigger car so parking isn't as easy to find compared to the others and the engine is only a 1.3 considering its a bigger sized sedan. The satria would be the best choice imo since its not too big, uses a 1.6 engine, handles pretty good compared to the rest, rear seats can be folded down to accommodate more crap in my boot if I need it.

My budget isn't really that high, around 30-40k so the satria neo is already pushing it already. I'll be getting the manual coz i prefer manual compared to the auto plus its cheaper, gives better fc and shouldn't give much problems.

So dear lyn members, what say you? Is the extra cash on the Satria Neo worth it? Or should I just get a Myvi or a saga?

FIAT Punto HGT

Well, searching for a 2nd hand car now with a budget around 20k or less. Looked on Mudah and saw that pretty much all of the Punto HGT's are priced at 20~21k which should be affordable. Specs wise, 1.8 engine, ABS, Traction Control, Airbags, all sounds pretty damn good for a 20k car but just wondering what do you guys think about it?

My main priority is balance between ride comfort and 'having fun' as in i don't want my exhaust to be crazy loud or have very loud wind noise and etc since i plan to install a basic ICE system inside it and should have no troubles driving long hours in it and the likes. My friend recommended me to get a KE70 but IMO its too old. A 2nd hand Myvi would be around 25k+ for a 1.0 M version but myvi's are too common on the road already

so guys, what you think? Should i hit on the Punto HGT?

Heard they said maintenence is quite high if compared to local cars but shouldn't be much higher than it's japanese counterpart
