Adding html code into flash

I have an idea for an online magazine.
I saw some flash magazine creation software i'd like to use.
Basically i'd have some text and images on each page,
And under the pics on the page i'd like to place some html code
that creates a button for an online/offline indicator.
A user would be able to see if a user was online or offline and
if online they could click the button to visit the web page.

Is this possible?
