Here I would like to share sth real that happened to me and I will try to describe as short possible.

Scenario:

I was driving my car and I tried to turn left to go into one Lorong, and my car rear-left door is knocked by a motor bike before I was able to go in into that lorong. Later, I lauched a report, coz what my mind told me is that, it is wrong that a vehicle that overtake from my vehicle's left side.

What happened next?

I went to traffic division to make a report and I was interviewed by a sarjan. After hearing the story that I told him as described above, he asked me who had done the mistake - me or the motor-cyclist? I told him that it is the motor-cyclist coz he should not overtake me from left. However, the sarjan told me that I was wrong, and in fact, I was the one who did the mistake. Reason? He told me, I must keep very close to left so that no motor-bike can pass through before I turn into any lorong or road. The other funny thing worth to mention is that, he kept on asked me 'macam mana' for quite number of times during the interview session. I don't care, I still want to launch the report coz I still feel that I am the one whose car got knocked, and I am very sure I've turned on signal before I turn in into the lorong. With my insistent will, the sarjan had to file my report and perform investigation later.

Result?

The sarjan called me at the following day. He showed me the filed report with interviewed had been done against the motor-cyclist. However, I have no full glance on it as he kept on showing me that he had concluded in the report, where the faulty party is at me. I was curious and doubt, coz to me, it is impractical at all for a car to lean very close to left/right till there is no motor-bike can get in. The reason is, I need to lean to right before I turn in to a very narrowed lorong which, there is no way for me to keep close to left all the while. I then questioned my doubt against the sarjan, and what was he replied was, as a driver, I need to make sure that both side (left/right) is clear before I execute a left/right turn. I asked him further that does he means that the motor-cyclist can overtake me from the left, and he replied yes (sounds like it is legal for a motor-cyclist or any vehicle to overtake from the left side). I was in blur but I don't want to argue with him as he said he can saman me for the incident, plus, I am not quite sure whether his claimed is right.

Conclusion

1) I was not happy at all as I am the one whose car got knocked, and now, I am the faulty party.
2) I am still finding a way to confirm whether the sarjen's claimed is right.
3) As a car driver, you must always remember for the moment, ANDA MESTI RAPAT KE KIRI/KANAN SEBELUM ANDA HENDAK PUSING MASUK KE LORONG/JALAN KIRI/KANAN.
4) MOTOR-CYCLIST CAN OVERTAKE CAR DRIVER EVEN FROM THE LEFT, SO DON'T EVER ASSUME THAT IT IS ILLEGAL FOR A VEHICLE TO OVERTAKE YOU FROM THE LEFT, OTHERWISE, YOU WOULD FACE SAME CONSEQUENCE AS MINE.

Proton Persona Owners' Opinion

Hi everybody, not sure i m asking question at right place here. Anyhow, I am planning to buy a car, and persona is one of my choices. As everyone know, proton has a bad reputation since long time ago. However, with the intro of persona, what I see from proton web site (i went to one of the show rooms too in puchong once a time before) does demo me that its a nice car and i m considering to give it a try.

Besides, i do heard from ppl feedback that persona still have quite number of problems, like power window problem after few weeks ride, and many more tiny problems that I do not know how to mention (i m not car expert that know all the naming, jargon). So, I hope that any Persona owner can give me your valuable comments base on your experience with the vehicle.

Pls be reminded that what i wish is to hear concrete comments, and not just bashing proton, and this is not the reply that i wish to c. So, persona owner pls give your feedback here and your feedback sure valuable for those like me who r actually consider to buy persona.

Basically what i want to know is that how many problem that persona gives you, and is there any other major problem beside the small problems.
