No Sound When Return from Sleep/ Hibernation Mode

having 2 problems with my laptop:-

1 - PC Restart/ Auto Restart Problem. I've read the topic, seems like nothing i can do on my own (i'm no IT guy) so need to go Low Yat repair la...

2 - Speaker/ Sound problem - no sound after return from hibernate and sleep mode. need to restart. what's wrong? any help will be greatly appreciated

Signed a Letter - Cant' Join Same Industry for 3yr

My friend's lady boss make him sign a letter. One of the term in the letter says he is not supposed to work in the same industry for 3 years if he ever resign from the company. At the same time, he is not supposed to contact the company's customers. Its a new rule since the lady boss joined the company's management. My friend had been with the company for 6 years when he signed the letter. See, my friend works for this company for 9 years as a salesperson. He had wanted to leave the company but only to join another company in the same industry (where he is more valuable compared to a new industry).

Now there are few questions:-

1) What are the action the company can take if he works in the same industry after leaving this company?
2) Does he has the right to claim compensation from the company/ will the company compensate him?
3) Is this letter even valid?

The problem is, he doesnt even have a copy of the letter to refer now. The lady boss took back without giving him a copy and if he requests for a copy from his lady boss, she is sure to sense something...

S&P signed, purchaser wants cancel & refund

This is the scenario:-

The property: a low cost apartment unit, leasehold, purchased in 2005

- about 8 mths ago, signed S&P to sell a low cost apt, got 10% payment from the purchaser (and finished spending them all as well...). both seller and purchaser use the same lawyer (purchaser's lawyer)
- It seems that the developer has yet to grant 'consent'
- Now purchaser says he want to cancel due to delay and demanding to get back his 10%

Questions:
- Does the purchaser has the right to demand refund? He is the one who wants to cancel and it is not seller's fault that the transaction is still on hold. i'd want the transaction to go smooth too.
- Whose job is it to chase for developer's consent?

Some enlightenment, anyone? (hope this is the right place to post)
