Main usage will be for media storage / few games.

Planning to build a Ryzen system. Have below specs in mind, can add your recommendation please

CPU = Ryzen 3400G (Use Wraith Stock cooler) - Buying this due to onboard graphics for 1-2 month usage before purchasing GPU
RAM = G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4 3200Mhz (2x8Gb) - Or 3600Mhz is recommended ?
PSU = Corsair RM650W - Future proof

Need suggestion :

MOBO = Can suggest a good B550 model (with At least 2xM.2 slot)
CASING = Any good airflow but lite one (Will be travelling next year and will carry this around)

Total budget for all this is about RM2K Without GPU

Dota 2
Apex legends
Valorant

Future upgrade :

GPU = GTX 1660 Super or 1650

Hello,

I want to ask about M.2 Enclosure.

I have a few M.2 SATA SSD. Would like to request suggestion of enclosure that I can put multiple M.2 SATA SSD inside of it.

Am I able to make it run like independent drive ? (Example I have 2 M.2 in the enclosure - Can it be Drive E: and drive F: or will it combine into sort of a RAID 1/0 setup)

Can suggest an enclosure that can support multiple M.2 SATA SSD and is able to separate between the drives.

Hello sifus, so heres my story,

Been using this rig for almost 2 years now with minor problem. But now it started to become weird.

My pc automatically shutdown by itself (Not bsod, just auto off as if there is no electricity)
When I try to boot using the onboard on button feature, I need to constantly flicker the on/off switch on my PSU until it boot up (been happening for the past half a year but with no problem. Currently this doesn't work anymore. Now put inside case but still same need to flicker on/off psu. However can run with random time (sometimes 5 minute after or 5 hours after )

This is quite a long post/story, bear with me

PC Specs

CPU : i5 2550K 3.4GHz
MOBO : Asrock Z77 Extreme 4
RAM : 4GB x 2 G.Skill Sniper 1600mHz
HDD : 1 TB Samsung HD103SJ
SSD : 120 GB Intel 520 (OS)
GC : 2GB GTX 680 OC MSI TWIN FROZR
PSU : AX 850W

What I have done so far.

1. Using other PSU - Can't Boot
2. Swap power cord of PSU with other - Can't Boot
3. Swap/Replace extension plug with other - Can't Boot
4. Using other GC - Can't Boot
5. Re-Installing OS - Sometimes can boot but random time will auto shutdown again then can't boot for a random period of time.
6. Uninstalling bad patch from windows 8 auto update. - Can boot but will auto shutdown again at random time.
7. Check SSD(OS) using HDTune(All green) - Can't Boot
8. Swap/Test Ram 1 by 1 - Can't Boot/ Can boot but shutdown at random time.
9. Update MOBO/BIOS - Can't boot/Can Boot but shutdown at randm time.
10. Run Prime95 when can boot - longest time record without problem is 12 hours(Small FFT and blend)which is after reinstall OS, afther that no problem for a few hours then auto shutdown occurs and can't boot up again

11. Re-apply thermal paste, clean the whole PC/Fans/Heatsink(Done this 3 times) - Can't Boot
12. Check CPU/MOBO pins all okay non bent
13. Ran furmark for a full 2 hours no problem

Have run temperature monitor on desktop and using onboard mobo. Highest is at 51 this is while gaming ( When can boot played for quite some time)
When not running anything is 39 Celcius.

So my question is. What should I do to make it run again ?

Hello sifus, I'm having some problem with my newly purchase rig, heres the spec to start it off

i5 3570 (Using stock cooler)
Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V (Installed latest drivers)
Kingston Value RAM 4GB (Model KVR16N11S8/4)
1TB WD Blue HDD
FSP HEXA 500W
Palit GTX 660 2GB (Driver 314.22)
OS : Windows 8 64-Bit

The problem occur randomly whereby the system freeze and stop working all together, then I re-open everything and put them back together, now its working even on the start up window.

With GC inserted :
1.Launching AC 3 will freeze the system.
2.Game launch successfully but freeze when playing the game(3~5 second into the game)

Without GC (using onboard graphics)
1.Freeze randomly but not as often.
2.Launching and play AC 3 without any problem.

AC3 setting was put on low for both test.

Step done.
-Testing memory
-Checking thermal paste
-Fan test (all working) Temp 41~45 at idle
-PSU test (working condition)

So this is a summary of what I have done to find the problem, my conclusion is the GC itself is faulty, but not sure whether its because the PSU doesn't give the amount of power to run the GC or the GC is faulty.

The base that I notice is that when I use the GC (GTX 660) my system/game freeze completely at launch.

So I need help in finding the solution.

#1 Budget of RM4000 (Rig Only)

-Include a 120GB SSD
-Cheap casing will do fine
-i7 Processor
-Nvidia GC

#2 Budget of RM2000

-Include monitor (Prefer 21~23 inch) *
-No need DVD player
-No need casing
-Non-OC build
