Now and future - upgrading from Xmax 250 or stay

i try to make it simple

what i currently do with my bike
1) Go nearby and do errands
2) Send kid to school
3) Go to work.. 20km commute one way
4) sometimes go touring (Fraser, Genting, TITIKONG - planning to go further)

What i currently using
Xmax 250

What i plan to upgrade to
Transalps 750
NX500 - too small for me

why i want to upgrade
I fully utilized the current bike and want more power ... i dont speed(max 110-120) but sometimes i feel the bike not moving or acceleration tak cukup

Advise needed
Any other bikes that can do all the above or somewhere close?

Motorcyle riding positon ergonomics

Hi sifoo sifoo sekalian

would like to understand a little regarding riding position ergonomics

I was riding an Xadv 750 and after 2 hours in, my right shoulder (the muscle between neck and shoulder) started to have a numbing pain

it stopped when i stoped to rest and came back when i starter riding again. i summarize that this has to do with the riding positon

question

1) How do i know that my riding position is correct? (eg. cyclist will have a few pointers for fitting but i cant find any for motorcycle)
2) is there any place in malaysia that does motorbike fitting to reduce this pain

Wind noise reduction using intercom

Hi, I am currently using simple Galaxy buds with noise cancellation dialed up to max to reduce wind noise..

This is because prolonged wind noise will cause hearing damage.

Was wondering if helmet intercoms does the same as I do not like the idea of putting on ear plugs

If not, please share how you manage this issue

P.s, even with noise cancellation at max, the wind noise is significantly reduced but I can still hear cars..

Between these two awesome machines, which would you choose?

I choose a Forza as I loved the ride feel and being ex employee of BSH.
But looking at the TL 500,.. you get more from roughly the same price

Also, the loan for TL 500 will be cheaper at 5% pa (being 250cc and above) vs Forza at 9% (estimate )

MTB Rims for a big guy

Hi - been out of LYN for quite some time

Need help in recommending a set of Rims that will take my weight (110kg)
Budget Rm1500

current bike

not too sure on model - picture attached as i was going up kemensah trail
issue is that Rims seem to warp and need constant trueing

Trinx Cross country
29 inches - non boosted (disc brakes freewheel) - i dont mind upgrading to casette
shifter - Shimano mx7000
derailuer back - shimano XC 11 speed
derailuer front - shimano 2 speed
body - Carbon frame
brakes - Shimano deore disc brakes

Insurance claim

Hi not sure where to post but i need some help,

in 2013 december, my new car was hit from the side by a taxi,

a police report was made and the taxi driver was ordered to pay a summons because he was in the wrong

insurance agent told me to send my car back to the dealer as it is still less than 6 months old to get it repaired and claim it from the taxi insurance

the problem is that the insurance company could not claim directly from the taxi insurance company and will have to pay for the repairs first,

catch is that our NCB is down to 0% because we claimed and it will be restored back to the original once the taxi insurance comes throught with its payment

today i got a call from my insurance agent saying that the Taxi insurance (some association called ppiuipm sumthing) they will not open a case on this and they will not pay for the damages

cause by their drivers

any advice from the sifoo's here

but then i not from kelantan..

i been to kelantan and the food there is really better than Penang food... even the char kuih teow, bah kut teh and the apom balik is better.

but i really really miss this chicken
