as a player, once you mine gold inside the game. Once reach certain criteria, you can exchange those virtual gold with real gold. They claim many celebrities in UK already played enough and received those gold.

you can also pay 20k pounds ~ RM115k and buy a level in the game. They will train you what you can do with that game level. They also projected you will earn 438% in 3 years.

Revenue is generated from inApp purchase.

they have claimed this business model has been qualified by Apple, PWC etc.

Interestingly they also share the statistic that Malaysian are one of the largest game players who actually spends a lot of money in mobile games. 40% of mobile game players actually pay in the game compare to world wide average of 20%.

What do you think and what kind of questions will you be asking ?

is there a thread about fully customization the hardware components of a laptop ?

for example, Dell only provides limited customization.

I am hoping to get / build / buy one that has

. no spinning hard disk
. no DvD drive

Raja Uda Hotel Investment Scheme

Was introduced this scheme just now ...

Basically this is a hotel going to be built in Raja Uda Butterworth. By investing in this scheme ( RM 4,800 per unit ), I can get 7% guarantee for the next 14 years. After that its profit sharing.

I have checked with people at northen region, apparently this Raja Uda is 'HOT' !? I also called up SSM/CCM and the trustee, they confirmed this scheme is legitimate.

So I am just thinking for the first 14 years, the GUARANTEED 7% is much better than FD rate while both of their risks are low. Then if I choose NOT to profit share, I could sell my share to others for RM 4,700. So nett nett I still get my 7%, instead of 3%.

ALL info is openly shared on the web site so it seems 'honest'

Hi sifu,

I have a backup copy of MSSQL 2000 database. I need to restore/view/take a look at/examine the whole db before I decide what to do with it. (buy old MSSQL ? buy new MSSQL ? use free MSSQL ? legal ? migrate to MYSQL ? etc.) What are the FREE ways to achieve that ?

Can someone help me do it on site ? It will be near Ampang Park, behind Plaza OSK.

There is another thing puzzle me a lot. The zip file of the db is 150MB but the dB is 8GB. Does this mean there are not much 'actual' data in it ?

... the Real Inflation is the Infaltion that is happening to you, not the 'number' released by your goverment. Below describe a quick summary how and what to do to calculate your own inflation rate ...

1. List down all your "daily routine" items and their costs
2. Determine what quantity / amount of each item is consumpt over a fix period of time
3. Sum up the total cost for that period

Then compare the difference between 2 periods give you a rate, that is the Your Inflation !

You can read about 3 examples on their inflation rate, one guy even has a 20+% inflation rate !!!

Actually "Investment-Link" policy IS an INVESTMENT. Its the SAME as Mutual Fund / Unit Trust. The only difference is that instead of buying the mutual fund Directly, you get 'someone' to manage the whole portfolio for you including insurance and mutual fund inside. Its GREAT especially when you don't know what i am talking about here ....

you do pay extra but they do provide you good services ... so its a fair deal. The idea is whatever extra you pay NOW, will be covered back by the investment return ....

the risk is only to the person whom manage your portfolio - because you assign your own tasks to him.

I came across this insurance offer where it provides complete coverage on Life, TPD, PA, Critical illness for 100K and medical plan for 25K, all for RM 1,228 only.

I realize its actually a combination of mutual fund and group insurance but it suits me well.

But Do you know if I can find even better insurance coverage else where ? Meaning similar coverage but even cheaper ?

Malaysia Payment Gateway for Small Biz

Currently a lot of competitive small biz payment gateway are supported by oversea companies. Since they are in foreign country, if some things go wrong with your account, may it be your fault or theirs, it is very hard for Malaysian to bring them to court and get back what we deserve. Furthermore, withdrawing money from them usually will incur some additional charges and normally TT into your account instead of normal bank in. ( TT has higher fee )

Locally appllying a merchant account from banks directly is a very tedius process. Most of them look down on biz which earn less than 1 million a year.

So does anyone know any Malaysia based payment gateway who can help small biz even for very small payment ? Or any other solution ? Or what is your current best way of accepting credit card online ?

HTML IMG LOWSRC does not work

Back in the old days, we can specify <img lowsrc="smallSizeFile.jpg" src="BigSizeImage.jpg"/> so that a faster image is loaded first and then finally the bigger one. However, this "LOWSRC" is not supported in most browser. Does anyone know any equivalent but can be used in all internet browsers ?

web page looks different after refresh

I have built a simple asp page, the page loaded ok. Right after finished loading, if I hit F5 to refresh page again, the page will load again but with slight different look and feel, anyone can help explain why and how to fix it to consistent look and feel ?

1. size of input field box looks different, slightly smaller after refresh.
2. 1st page load cannot view chiense char properly, after refresh all words shown fine

IIS XP Home cannot display on another computer

I have installed IIS on XP Home, it works fine on the machine itself.

But when tried to browse from another machine within the same network (LAN) ( same workgroup too ), the web page cannot be displayed.

Both network computers work fine, can Ping IP, can resolve netname, can share folders and see each other computers. For example;

From pc1
opening //pc2/c/inetpub/wwwroot/index.htm will work fine
but opening http://pc2/index.htm will show "Cannot Display Web Page"

From pc2
opening http://pc2/index.htm will show fine.

any of you experienced this before ?

anyone know what goes wrong and how I can resolve this ?

I am hoping to start a new computer selling business. But I am new in this industry and has no contacts. Can anyone help get sourcing ?

Initial phase is to source for all parts enough to build a simple desktop PC.

Do you think its still possible for a newbie to enter into this biz ?
or do you think I will most probably get screwed ?
