Property Advice

Hi there

I posted this in the jobs forum but wasnt getting any replies so decided to pose this question to my target market i.e property afficianados!!

I am a very recent graduate of economics and finance who would like to pursue a career in property. I am interested in property investment, financing and research and analysis of property management issues.

1) Where would i be able to learn and develop the most?

I understand there are numerous property consultants; Rahim and Co, CB Richard Ellis, Knight Frank etc. Does anyone have any experience working in these firms? What is the work environment/ salary growth/ career development potential like? Which firm is the best to work for in your opinion?

I was also considering applying for property developers SP Setia, IOI Group etc.. I would greatly appreciate any feedback or comments if anyone has worked there.

Next, does anyone know if any of the banks/MNC have a real estate/ REIT division, and how i could apply for those as well as shedding some light on the job prospects within these organizations

2) Also, i would love to work internationally and was wondering which segment of the property industry i should get into which would aid this ambition? Meaning, which career path would make my experiences & skills relevant and valuable to international employers?

3) Lastly, coming from a business background i was wondering what additional qualifications would be valuable/necessary to suceed in the property sector

Sorry for the long post...I would appreciate any comments and feedback fromthebottom of my heart!!! Thanks!
