The sound of my laptop..

Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the sound of my laptop. Basically, it just doesn't work. No matter how loud I set the volume, there's still nothing to be heard. I checked all the options there are for my volume mixer, restarted the laptop, took out my adapter and plugged it back in, but nothing works. x_x
The sound works perfectly when I plug in headphones or speakers, but as soon as I take them out there's no sound to be heard again. Some might tell me to keep the speakers plugged in but the only reason I'm using a laptop is so I don't have to use all those 'extras', just have something clean and simple right in front of me. @_@
I had this problem once before and I just all of a sudden got my sound back, but I would rather not wait for that.. x_x;

Any possible solutions?

(Sorry for my English)
