PARIS -- Three people were wounded, including two seriously, when a gunman opened fire with an automatic weapon on a high-speed train traveling from Amsterdam to Paris Friday, officials said.

France's interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve says two American soldiers on board the train overpowered the man. U.S. Marine spokesman in Germany Capt. Richard Ulsh told CBS News that "they can confirm that Americans subdued the gunmen" but he would not confirm whether they were Marines.

The suspect was arrested after the train stopped in Arras, 115 miles north of Paris, Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henri Brandet said on French television BFM. Passengers were evacuated and police have secured the area.

The attack took place while the train was passing through Belgium, according to a statement from the office Presidend Francois Hollande. Hollande said he's spoken with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel and the two leaders pledged to cooperate closely on the investigation.

Two of the victims were in critical condition, according to a statement from Hollande's office.

The suspect is a 26-year-old Moroccan, said Sliman Hamzi, an official with police union Alliance, said on French television i-Tele.

Police are not ruling out the possibility of a planned terror attack, CBS News' Elaine Cobbe reports from Paris.

Twitter user @FreedomFilmLLC posted a photo showing the apparent aftermath of the shooting, saying the suspect was allegedly thwarted by U.S. Marines.

Christophe Piednoel, a spokesman for national railway operator SNCF, said the suspect was armed with an automatic rifle and a knife.

"The situation is under control, the travellers are safe. The train stopped and the emergency services are on site," the high-speed train operator Thalys tweeted in response to online requests for comments.

France has remained on a high state of alert since the terrorist attacks on the Charlie Hebdo magazine and a Jewish supermarket in Paris in January.

Come 15 Sep 2015, Telekom needs to open up access to other operator (provided no hanky panky undertable business in the background).

Then MyRepublic from Singapore intend to come into market.

Anyone has anymore info/links/stories about this HSBB being opened up?

Euro 5 Diesel This Year!

Today’s National Automotive Policy (NAP) 2014 status update also briefly touched on the subject of Euro 4 and Euro 5 fuels, with Minister of International Trade and Industry Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed reiterating the introduction timelines that were first announced in November last year.

As mentioned, Euro 4 RON 97 petrol will arrive first in September 2015, followed by Euro 4 RON 95 petrol in October 2018. Diesel will get to Euro 5 standard in September 2020, and Euro 5 grade RON 95 and RON 97 petrol is scheduled to be introduced in September 2025.

It was also announced that this year will see the rollout of fully-imported Euro 5 diesel to other states, especially in the Klang Valley, following the fuel’s introduction in Johor last year, though no specific timeframe was given for deployment.

It’s likely the fuel will be made available via BHPetrol, which introduced its Infiniti Euro 5 Diesel last November – the fuel is currently available at 12 of its stations in Johor. Euro 5 diesel has a sulphur content of just 10 parts per million (ppm), compared to 500 ppm for current Euro 2M diesel.

Following the introduction of Euro 5 in Johor, MITI said that oil companies were more than welcome to begin selling such fuels earlier than the gazetted dates.

KUALA LUMPUR: A gunfight between police and a gang of five burglars broke out in a populated housing area in Taman Taynton View, Cheras after officers caught them trying to break into a house there on Saturday evening.

It is learnt that a police multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) patrol unit spotted the men acting suspicious in a red car in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong and tailed them to Jalan 25/119 here at around 5pm.

The five men, all Malaysians and wanted criminals out on bail, jumped over the gate of a house and tried to pry open the window in an attempted break-in.

When the officers tried to arrest them, the suspects were believed to have fired several shots at them, forcing the police to return fire.

Residents said eight shots were exchanged between the police and burglars, who then tried to get away in their car before knocking into a parked Proton Wira by the side of the road.

All five were arrested and taken to the Serdang police headquarters.

One of the suspects is believed to have been shot in the leg.

The owner of the house, who wanted to be known as Alex, said this was the second attempted robbery since he started living there five years ago.

"This row of houses has already had two break-ins this year. Luckily none of us were at home when the shootout happened," Alex said.

Hi, was informed by my friend there's this White Lexus CT200H zig zagging in traffic and car is scratched whole side.
Plate WMX 9198, anyone can help/suggest where to check if the plate number is false or not or match the car type?

I suspect this car as I was robbed few months ago and robber getaway this same white lexus CT200h, but the plate is unknown.
