How do you clean the earpads on your headphones?

I have an Alessandro M1 that I hadn't been using for a while, and the earpads are a bit dirty since I left it collecting dust

So how do you clean the pads? Any special solution ?

So anyone owned / auditioned before JVC-EXA10 / JVC-EXA3 wood cone series ? My dad seemed very impressed with it and wants to own one I am not too sure if that's wise considering the price hehe. Would there be a better configuration for price of 2k+ ?

Modem: Linksys AM300
Router: Linksys WRT54G
Firewall used: N/A

Problem details
OK, I have set up the below:

AM300: Bridge mode, disable DHCP, everything else default for bridge mode
WRT54G: PPPoE, DNS: 202.188.0.133/202.188.1.5, username@streamyx.com/password (verified through tm.net.my online billing)
PC: Set an IP (192.168.1.100), set gateway to 192.168.1.1 , subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, set DNS as above

Nothing worked....

So ... can anyone correct my mistakes? If anyone already setup the similar stuff, can you share your setting screenshot? Thanks!

DSL500-G unable to access web admin page

I accidentally modified my DSL500-G ip address... now I can't connect to the modem via the web admin page anymore Does anyone know how to do a hard reset back to factory settings?

Hi, I am noob in wireless stuff tongue.gif Just bought a WRT54G from PC fair, don't know how to set it up with my original DSL500-G that's a single port modem router.

Any streamyx + WRT54G user, can you paste a general settings for your WRT54G at the setup page, 192.168.1.1, can also email me at myooi@hotmail.com.

[WTA] Performance laptop with parallel port

Guys, need your help to search for a high performance laptop with printer port. Basically my company will need to buy around 15 units(or more) of this laptops, because we have a debug tool that runs only with parallel port.

I need you guys to recommend brand + model. BTW, the brand must have good after sales service, we'll pay for whatever fee to get full warranty. And yes, I am from Penang

Let's just say it should have the specs like Dell M65 / D620 , but with parallel port.

How to create a bootable CD with DOS ?

Yeah, I have been wondering about this for quite a while. My system doesn't have a floppy and I really want to go to DOS to update my BIOS and run memtest. I don't know if this can be done, but technically I don't see why not.

So has anyone done it before? If yes, can you send me your CD image (I dont expect it to be large since it's just a DOS) or give some pointer here to any links or how to do it?

Guide for the noob

Hey, although most of my PC parts is picked and assembled on my own, but the mobo + proc + original HSF are assembled by gentlemen from Cycom. So I am very proud to declare myself noob in terms of the simple mechanics of changing a HSF.

Can any sifu explain to me how to do it, if possible, give snapshots of what should I do I would be very grateful.

I don't know if it's necessary, but here's my system description:

Proc : AMD Athlon 64 s939 3000+
HSF : Stock
Mobo : Asus A8N-E

B&W DM601 S3

Get Zhaolu or not?

Well I am thinking whether it's a good idea to get ZhaoLu and connect it with my X-Fi. Will this bring a lot of improvement? Or I should sell my X-Fi and get ZhaoLu + AV 710 ?

OK, I found iRiver to be rather popular else where but not in Malaysia. Probably because of their price and not many dealers. But that doesn't stop the fact that they produce one of the best players (Hdd, flash, CD, you name it) on Earth.

So I will start talking about my T10 first :

[Appearance] OK, I admit T10 is bigger than most flash type players and it has an awkward look. But I feel the buttons are well placed and the shape fits your palm nicely. So the look might be a but ergonomics is

[Battery life] Now this is what the bad appearance get compensated, crazy 40 hours (real life it's tested to be 37hours, not too big difference) of playback time is unbeatable, that's the sheer power of using AA batteries.

[Sound quality] Well needless to depict much here, they are always one of the top market leaders in delivering superb sound quality in all their products. This player supports up to SRS 2.0 , adjustable SRS level, customizable EQ and has trubass. All these combined with good quality bundled earphone, you can listen to playback in the best quality it can be

[Other functions] Well it can store other data files like normal USB drive, though only works with windows (better than none). It can store pics (only in BMP) and display on it's small LCD. It has FM radio, which to me it's acceptable, but it's sensitive to movement, signal might get on and off. It has recording function, which I think is one of the best in the industry. It records and saves in MP3 format with adjustable bit rates. Playback of the recording is just crystal clear.

[Software] OK, this is one thing I don't really like. It uses Windows Media Player 10 to sync your player. Although after installing the driver, you can view the player like normal drive, but that won't work on other OS other than windows. I am not really affected, but if you are non-windows user, you might be better off buying their older models of FPS series. But there are UMS series of T10, but you gotta get it from other Asian countries.

[Overall] I like it very much and the UMS thing doesn't really affect me much. Just prefer it to be a real UMS instead of tying to Windows. Kudos to iRiver for this excellent player

Yes people, please share your collection to test your all new, expensive audio system . It can be for any system type from headphone to state of the art hi fi system.

If possible post the album name + thumbnail size of the CD cover. That would be fantastic

I think there's a RM50 difference in price for both (Scotty's bulk vs Davis's bulk)

But in terms of sound reproduction quality, which is better? Seriously I don't mind wasting another RM50 if SHP895 is better. I just want to buy one of the two.
