ID and Reno workshop

Hi guys, i had attended to a seminar workshop in relation to Interior Design and Renovation. I felt that the workshop is fruitful and it gives lots of information and guides regarding to Interior Design, by way of both Do-It-Yourself and professionally done up. Hence would like to share my experience and the benefits i obtained.

The benefits that i personally obtained from the course/workshop is as below:

1) I got introduced to a network of people (all the workshop graduates) where we shared plenty of ideas internally. The networks are full of people from different industry and expertise, such as taxation, co-sec, bankers, lawyers, accountants, interior designers, auction experts, property investors, interior designer, entrepreneurs businessman/woman etc etc. Mainly we all shared lots of ideas regarding property investment and interior design/reno.

We can ask for industry advices for free easily within the network, ie how to get 90% loan for your property for your 3rd residential property in Malaysia, how to set up Sdn Bhd for investment holding purpose, how to minimize your RPGT etc etc. Also the network members are very friendly, even non-property/non ID&Reno questions will be answered.

2) Interior Design and Reno, if done the right way, ie what to do and what not to do, what to spend and what not to spend, could help to increase ROI of your property. (That is why i post this here, as i seen many DIYers sifuuuu been sharing beneficial stuff)

3) We had a list of suppliers/manufacturers, which offer us very special discount due to the large members of our network. Where this could gives us huge savings. During the workshop, we had visited multiples manufacturers and distributors.

One of them being manufacturer of built-in furniture. Just imagine the price of it (manufacturer price - special discount for our network members), we are talking in terms of 10-20% of discount here. And not to forget, the eliminated portion of middle man price, ie lots of furniture display shops they do receive order for built-ins, however they charged a margin . So we are looking at easily 20-40% discount from the normal furnitures shops

4) entrepreneurs could take advantage of this to start their ID and Reno business , whether its contractor or specialised in specific element of ID/Reno, such as wallpapers, decorative, built-in furniture, designer furniture etc etc .

I myself is not doing no.4 though. However i had benefited a lot just from no. 1 ,2 and 3 and i really would like to share this to fellow peeps who looking to do ID and Reno now or somewhere in the future. (Or even Entrepreneurs!!)

I understood that many of the info could be obtained for free online nowadays, however, this workshop is great in terms of knowledge pooled together in one spot. There are many instances of people simply doing their ID and Reno to their own home, attended the course and after that managed to save lots of money, way more than enough to cover the course fee (x4 x5) And that is just on 1 condo. Really cant stressed how much benefits you could obtained from it. (Especially DIYers who is cost sensitive)
