Red Chilli Padi Or Green Chilli Padi?

When I see kopitiam food served with RED Chili padi... I immediately give extra 20 points to overall impression, even before i makan. Compare to green chili padi that is just ~meh...

Chicken Slice Horfun with RED CHILI PADI. seems more correct

Chap Fan with unlimited RED CHILI PADI... extra point! with hot soup.. MORE POINT!

Wantan Mee or War Tan hor with Red Chili Padi lagi best! (although always served with sour chili which I dont like)

Anyone same like me? or you prefer the green one?

Recommend me streaming device/box

I am currently using 3rd generation Apple TV with my 10 years old Sony 1080p TV, to watch Netflix content + Astro. The controller is a little frustrating to use ... cacat already.

I am trying to find way to get Disney + onto my tv, without spending too much. My Apple TV does not have disney+

Since my tv is not 4k, I probably don't want to spend too much for features that I won't be using. I may upgrade to 4k TV in the future, but I think it won't be anytime soon (unless touchwood, tomorrow my tv decided to die on me). Even when I purchase new tv , it probably already have built in apps for netflix/disney+ anyway.

I am not sure if i should spend like rm 400-500 for a used Apple tv 4th generation, or around rm 300 for Chromecast with googletv. Other criteria is I must have a remote, so my daughter and wife can just use the remote without fiddling with phone.

Personally, I am Apple Iphone12 user. My wife using android phone. We dont have any smart home set up. Casting from phone for content will probably less likely to happen. On Apple TV I occassionally rent movies that I have missed in cinema, otherwise most of the time is on Netflix.

What will be my best choice?

-----------------------------------------------------------------

On the side note, I am thinking if I am able to watch 4k content on my 2k office monitor, if I plug for example the chromecast onto my monitor.
Birkenstock comfortable & worth it or not?

Is birkenstock worth the price ? I see many ppl buy them, (donno original or imitation)

I asked because I feel old already and regular slipper does make my feet tired at times (especially if carry my toddler around)... So curious to know if the GERMAN-ENGINEERED DESIGN Slipper actually can help with my old body...

I know friends who swear by them and will only wear birkenstock as their slipper. But I like to hear other experience

I never fancy the design.... but slipper is a slipper... if wan look proper i wear shoes. but i just lazy uncle.

Cant get more than 45fps when gaming on tv

I tried to plug in my laptop to my Full HD sony tv to play Forza Horizon 4. But no matter what settings I set, it will only run at maximum of 44fps +-

switching back to my laptop FHD screen, it can directly jump to 70-80fps. On my 2k monitor I also can achieve 70-80fps with medium settings.

With my tv , which is 60hz screen, I set my graphic setting to lowest, it runs at 44fps, Use the gaming auto-optimised settings, it goes to High settings but also runs at 44fps.

I tried google everything and still cannot figured out whole day. I tried running youtube video at fhd at 60fps on my tv, it works just fine as it should.

Any solution to this?
Oppo Reno 6 vs Oppo Reno 5 Pro

Reno 6 rm2400, Reno 5 Pro rm1800.... which one is better phone or better value?

I check the spec side by side they seems pretty similar.

The differences I can tell physically is that Reno6 has iphone12/13 square side design. while 5 Pro has curve edge screen.

Reno 6 has plastic back, Reno 5 pro has glass back.

Anything else I need to be aware of?
Streaming Netflix/Disney+ onto 1440p monitor

I am currently away from my home & tv. And only have my laptop & a 1440p Monitor.

I am thinking if there is anyway to stream Netflix/Disney + at 1440p onto this monitor? I seen people mention is not possible through browser... but what if I get an apple tv or chromecast to plug into my monitor? Or both streaming services simply don't support 1440p, and can only go 1080p or 4k directly?

4G Repeater? Will work?

Recent months I am kinda stuck at kampung, and there is no Broadband here so I have to rely on my Maxis 4G.

But the connection here is bad inside the house. I get good 4G signal when outside the house (landed), but once I get inside the house, it is always stuck at 3g, occasionally 4g at 1-2bars.

Constantly switching between 3g and 4g sucks my hand phone battery very quickly and it is annoying. Weirdly after changing to iphone 12, my signal stuck at 3g 80% of the time. my old iphone 7 still manage to stay with 4g 70% of the time. Not sure is it the newer phone try to safe battery by using 3g with better signal.

Anyway, I am trying to find a solution to this problem, as I am having frustrating video call quality with my family.

Cause my current set up is like this: I have applied Multi-Sim with maxis. Main sim in my main phone. Secondary sim in my old Oppo phone, and this one is 24/7 running on wifi tethering to my work laptop.

If I get a 4g repeater from lazada, will it actually work? or should I get a 4g modem instead? What are the criteria I have to look for when buying one?

Is USB sim dongle consider wifi tethering?

I am currently stucked in kampung and do not have broadband to use here. So I have used my old iphone 7 to wifi tethering to my laptop for the past 1 month. And doing so really kills its battery, now its health only below 60%

Now I bought a new phone. So I do not plan to torture my new phone in the same way. So I thought I can pay extra rm 15 per month for maxis multi sim. The main sim for my new phone (phone call etc), and the 2nd sim for my old phone. And using my iphone as the usual wifi hotspot to use my laptop.

Unfortunately, my plan wont work, as maxis told me the 2nd sim do not allow wifi tethering.

So I have been researching to see if there is any other workaround. If I bought a usb 4g dongle (such as DLINK DWM-222) and connect directly to my laptop through usb, does that also mean tethering too? Is it allowed?

Any advice or tips to make this work?

Alternative solution for wifi tethering with phone

During this CMCO I am trapped in kampung, and we do not have broadband here. So I have to use my phone mobile data, wifi tethering... so I can use the internet with my laptop for work.
I did that everyday for a month, and I think im killing my phone battery this way! My phone will constantly need to plug in the whole day.

Is there any other solution to this? I am thinking to check if Maxis offer like dual sim, so I can have one sim card used on a portable wifi modem, another on my phone as usual ? So my hp no need to take the battery hit with wifi tethering 24/7 ...

Any advice? is this the way to go?

Can I transfer OEM Windows to another new pc

I have an old custom build pc, with OEM System Builder Pack Windows Pro 7. My Windows 7 was later upgraded to Windows 10.

The pc motherboard just died, and I decided to scrap the build (sold them etc).

My question is: am I still able to use the windows license on a new build pc in future? I always heard that the OEM windows is tied to motherboard... but if I change my motherboard, does it mean I need to get a new Windows? Or in my case, totally scrap my old pc, and build a new system... must I buy a new win10 license, or is there a way to transfer it/reuse the license?

Hope I am able to get a direct not-so-complicated answer. Thanks.

How calibrate monitor BenqEX2780Q

I recently purchased a new monitor , Benq EX2780Q. From my understanding, the monitor manage to view more than 100% of SRGB , I believe is 120%? Which should result in a more vibrant and saturated image.

But what I like to achieve, is getting my monitor to display the most accurate image as the commonly viewed by other monitors, which should be the SRGB. I worked on 3d visuals, and images are sent to client for their monitor viewing purpose.

I am actually very confused with all the color spaces, and wondering if I view my images at 120% srgb and looks really good, then when I send to my image to my client, who maybe view it at normal 100% srgb monitor... What we both viewed will be a very different look.

So my question is, do I need to reduce the srgb value to 100% or below, just so I view the most accurate color. This is mainly for work purpose. For gaming, I wouldn't mind they look more vibrant and saturated at more than 100% srgb color.

Now I use a hardware calibrator to calibrate my monitors, but I am not sure if I should calibrate it using which color mode.. especially between Standard and "Rec 709" which I checked, was said to emulating the srgb... Or does it actually matter if I hardware calibrate it, and create a custom ICC profile, and will be put under the "User" color mode?

I have struggled to understand all the color setting/ calibration for a long time, but my old monitor is not so advance, so there isnt much i need to worry about. The new monitor however seems to offer more, and I wish to get the best out of it.

Hopefully someone can shed some light and giving me some advice regarding this. Thank you.

Extra Info
* for my 3d work images, and photographs, I only edit them using SRGB color space, (no Adobe RGB), as my visuals/photographs are mostly view from monitors, and hardly do any print out
.

Recommend me 27" 1440p 144hz

My Dell U2711 is starting to show some "watermarking" at the side, and discoloration (yellow) at the top part of the monitor. It was a fairly advance monitor when I bought it, at around rm2k! But it has been through 8 years now, and I think it is about time for it to retire. Not sure how long more it can last... with the watermark getting randomly appear and disappear.

I'll like to keep to 27" with 1440p , same resolution. But maybe 144hz... it is always nice to have occasionally do some gaming. Support Usb Type-C. Budget Below RM1.5k

Or none 144hz, standard 60hz, but Ultra Wide angle , also can consider.. looking into how to implement it into my workspace as I usually work with 2 monitors, I'll like to cut down the space taken up on my table.

Is over the phone contract valid?

Last month my mum got called by a Malay from TM guy, offering somekind of package after our 24 months Unifi contract about to end. My mum is not really malay educated, and can probably only able to understand 20-30% of Malay.. My mum thought he is offering to extend the contract, with discount at -rm10 from what we are paying now. So my mum just say ok and agreed.

This month the bill came with addition rm10++, I help checked for her, and msg TM why there is an increase of total bill. And I was told it is because of the "unifi plus box" + RM10. I said I will like to cancel that, because it is obvious at this point my mum has got it wrong, and she has no idea of such tv box add on , and never even receive one. The communication between the Malay guy with my mum over the phone definitely is not clear. My mum could be just "ok ok" .... without fully understand all the terms.

They do not allow me to cancel it because they say "there is a 24 months contract, and any earlier termination will have penalty".. I am so angry because I feel like this is marketing trick to trick the elder victims into agreeing with something that they are not suppose to. Elder people do not know anything about verbal call contract like us younger generation. To them, any contract is going to be a signed documents, and since they are not signing anything, they will not likely to be tied to anything bad.

So my question is, at such situation. Can I fight to cancel my subscription with unifi, with the reason saying that Verbal agreement shouldn't be valid in this case, and it was more like a fraud. I tried to get the person name/contact who called my mum, but they do not allow it, and I tried to get the voice recording of their said "contract", they also do not allow.

what can I do at such situation? Sueing TM for fraud?
