NEED HELP! disk error - need to recover data...

***i searched the topic already and didnt founs any similar problems. if there already is, pls apologize, maybe i use the wrong keyword...

as the title, the hddisk is notebook 2.5" hdd. both are brand HITACHI.

there are clicking sound, i suspect that it is the i/o arm pin.
at first, the hdd can load up to windows logo, than stuck there and theres clicking sound non-stop.

i tried using the external case, and also USB-IDE/SATA converter, which also failed... my windows slow down and hang without any succes to detect the drive.

after a while, i tried the freezer method, that is wrap the hddisk with air tight seal case or plastic bag with ziplock... and manage to detect the hddisk as "VOID" with ZERO "0" megabyte capacity.

i went to lowyat and there is 1 shop that does the data recovery but very expensive...
so, i just wanna know if any of u know how to recover some few hundred MB data from the disk? it is only outlook email data (*.pst).

if anyone knows where i can buy the hddisk board, pls PM me the details. i want to try change the board cause its the most practical thing to try before rip the hddisk open... rite?

the enlight website also don have this model. maybe discontinued item.

need to know coz want to buy this item from a fren.
currently he's using it for his crossfire mobo and 1unit 3870 gc.
