Lenovo Ideapad 700

Anyone using Lenovo ideapad 700? Planning to get it for wife as replacement laptop that would at least last 3/4 years. Normal usage for work, Microsoft office, word, presentation etc. watch movies/series, listen to music/Spotify, and light photo editing ie photoshop and stuff. Is this too powerful for her usage?

Need to know how's the feedback i.e. any problem, issues, how's the warranty/after sales service/etc.

Yes I know it's 2 different sort of cars. That's why need some advice/feedback from sifus here.

Interested in these 2 models as I'm looking to upgrade from my trusty old 96 proton satria which is still in a good condition but about time to change as it lacks safety features as I drive it to work. Toyota Vios is my benchmark as this is my wife's car.

Not really a car person per se but hey I still would love a sport car if only I can afford it. Who doesn't?

So some profile to help. I usually drive 110-130km/h to work
Depending on traffic. And my drive takes me bout 40mins/way. Bout 60km/way. On the highway.

My question is, which car is more bang for buck? I've not test drive any of it so I will try both when I have the time for the feel. But I want to know in terms of on paper which is more worth it? I like the civic cause it says turbo so I'm guessing it can handle a higher speed? But it's almost rm20k more! The ioniq sounds cool cause lotsa features that I'm not very familiar with as I drive a satria mostly.

My priority is as follow,
- Safety ie airbag, abs, stability control etc
- reliabilty ie less chances of breakdown/less problem etc Vios was very reliable, hardly any problem.
- economic includes price, maintenance, fuel consumption, resell value as I plan to change after 5 years or so.
- driving feel/handling/acceleration/stability at high speed which for me is >130km/h, higher driver height as nowadays most cars like to shine bright into your eyes(dangerous at night and hate it cause It's low in satria, original no mod)
- after sales service/warranty/duration of service etc
- how silent is the car while driving, Vios is quite noisy.
- audio ie speaker quality I love to listen to good quality music while driving, I'm just using dominator speakers which I'm quite satisfied with.
- connectivity - uses my iPhone to play music so must be able to connect via Bluetooth/apple CarPlay
- looks which is subjective

Surveyed so far: Philips fidelio seems like the best I've listened to...heard good thing bout sonos too...

Need some advice here, is this price ok? Quoted by the shop when i asked for 55", smart, no 3d,

on sale 48J6300 - rm 2700 , curve 1080

Did more research, apparently better to get a streamer eg apple tv than a smart tv. So what would you recommend if i'm looking for;
55" & 48/50", no smart, no 3d, flat/curved,
budget rm4k-55",rm2.5k-48/50".
Guess most models with smart now so can have it as well.

Common Usage, astro hd, ps4, live football, downloaded/stream series for the living room and smaller tv for men's cave.

Also which home theater/soundbar to get? Prefer wireless to keep the living room neat. budget rm 3k & rm1.5k.

Ok guys I've been reading a lot of posts and thought that the y580 seems to be a good pick. But after some survey on the price list guide, recommendation forum as well as lowyat and other malls...I've been made more confused. So if someone that is familiar with the latest variants that the market is offering pls enlighten me.

Question 1 - pls verify all the variants and price of y580 available now. So far I know there's 3/4 types. Price list guide only 2 if not wrong.

Question 2 - is the backlit light red or white? Thought I saw red in lowyat...

Q3 - can I do a dual hdd and ssd for this? If no, is ssd worth getting? How Much it cost 128gb if I want to put in ssd and can I convert my original hdd as an external 2.5" hdd 3.0?

Q4 - can this model support gaming/full hd movie on Tv monitor?

Q5 - main diff btw w7h basic and pro? Can I upgrade to 8 for free/small fee if its out next month?

Q6 - should I wait 1 month for y500 and windows 8 if its out next month? Main diff btw y500 and y580 other than the ultra bay? Ultra bay too exp to use am I right?

So the major question now, to buy, hold or to sell off the shares in hand? Holding multiple shares and all losing money! Outlook looks bad, so thought of minimizing lost by selling off.

Or wait for further market crash, then buy at low price to average the price?

ARGH DILEMMA!!!!
