Guys,
I tried play .mkv with pre-installed movie player (Totem) and error appeared (need codec).
Then, i downloaded the codec still failed.
After that, i installed vlc and still cannot play .mkv
Please help.

Cannot open XP Shared Folders in Vista

So, first, I am working on the Vista, which has the following problem: I am connected to my Network, with my own IP Adress, amd I am able to connect to the internet thru my hub and modem, as well as see my XP computer's shared folder in the Network folder. My problem is that when I click my XP computer's shared folder, i cannot acess it, and just get a message saying "Windows cannot acess \\PC1 check the spelling of the name " The diagnose key does nothing.

when I look from my XP to the VISTA shared folder, I cannot acess that either, with a message saying "Path is wrong....blah blah ans so on.''

i am planning to install 2 din 7' inch monitor in my car.
But, i don't know where to put that thing and either it can fit or not.
If i install this thingy, how about the power?
Does it will drain the car battery?
What do i need to install this? Amp etc?
I'm totally noob about ICE.

I just downloaded Knoppix. How to set the resolution higher than 1024x768 with 32bit color? It is my first Linux OS, but I know I need to learn more.
