Taking an Economics Degree

I'm about to compleete my A-levels by july, and I'm very much interested in doing an economics degree.

The problem is that i've been told my many others that the economic's degree itself is too vague, and that i will not be able to net any jobs available when i return to malaysia after getting the degree.

First of all, I'm interested in studying economics overseas.

Beforehand, i was very much interested in law. Economics, being one of my strongest subject in A-Levels pretty much changed my mind, making me insaney interested in economics. I have my personal statement all planned up about law, and this sudden change in vocation is to be honest, troubling. I'm afraid that I might be making the wrong decision about my life, provided that i did not take up law as a subject in A-levels, hence not know much about law itself. On the other hand, studying economics for a year have made me so fascinated in the subject, making me want more about it.

The questions that i have for you guys is that, (note that i, myself am also doing research, but still need your inputs)

1) Where are the best countries to do economics?
-Surely I aim for LSE, King's and UCL. Though with only 3 subjects, Eng Lit, Economics and Maths, I highly doubt i'll be able to enter those universities with either (A*A*A/A*A*B/A*AA/A*AB).

2) I'm open to study in other countries like USA and Australia as well, though i have not had any training for SAT and it might be a little too late. Can anyone give me sources on good universities (non-ivy leagues) that I can consider?

3) I'm not too profound in double degrees etc. As all this time, I have only been focusing on my studies and law. What other degrees that I may be able to take with economics in them? Etc Accounting and Economics degree? Do those kind of degrees exist? As far as I know, it's pretty rare for anyone to do a double degree in the UK, so I'm not too sure about such a degree in other countries as well...

To be honest, I'd like to take more time on choosing a proper uni. Seeing that the latest i can submit my ucas is by march as a foreign student, I can still alter my personal statement to fit one under the economics degree. I actually prefer entering Uni during 2015, ie; summer intake. But very few universities in the UK offer such an intake.

Sorry for the wall of text

TL;DR, would anyone kindly look at 1/2/3 and please answer them if possible? I'll take consideration each and every opinions. Hope my WoT did not offend anyone.

Advice Needed ASAP!

I was gonna get a Vita, but then i realised that the only good games are gravity daze, persona 4 and virtue's last rewards.

So i decided to get a 3DS instead cuz i'm a sucker to english translated japanese games. However, i'm not so sure what's the price for the 3DS atm.

So what is the average price of 3DS nowadays? Can anyone recommend me the places to buy a cheap and nice 3DS with great packages for games?

Anyone wanna recommend me jrpgs for 3ds too? I need some help to pick. I love layton games and ace attorneys too.

Since we're here in this topic, would someone advice against me on not to buy 3DS and choose Vita instead? State reason plox.

The main reason i want a 3DS is to get VLR, AA 5, Layton 5+6, Layton VS AA and Fire Emblem,

while i want the vita for games such as Gravity Daze, P4, VLR, Ragnarock Odyssey. (More games to recommend?)

So... When you're 17

And gay, and am in a christian sorta school where the academic level is probably one of the best in KL, and have parents on the verge of going for a divorce that knows you're out of the closet yet still loves you but dont really love each other any more...

Not to mention where you're in love with a guy (which was like your close friend) for more than 6 years and told him about 4 years ago and he never spoke to you ever since, more like you have been avoiding him for the past 4 years, and even though you ended to be in the same class with him last year and sat with him for the first 3 months where you two barely had a word's worth of conversation...

What do you do?

I know i'm definitely not the unluckiest person in the world, where im glad to have parents that care... their marriage problems started last year when we just moved house to a way better upclass area. However, my dad changed a lot and he always demanded my mom to wear long pants or cover up, even though she doesnt wear revealing clothes at all. She had always wear shorts (more than 20 years already) and she refused to change. She said that she has always given him freedom, on how late he comes back, and how much he drinks even though she gets so worried about his deteriorating health.

I'm an atheist, probably because of the way i perceive things, and if god exists, i truly hated him. Why do i even post this in a cupid love corner? I dont know... i just dont know anymore, i'm tired and fed up with things in my life. My parents told me not to care about their problem and just want me to be happy, but if you're in my shoes, how do you get happy when things has taken such a turn?

Sorry for ranting.. i guess i just wanted people to listen.. i cant tell these kinda things to people i know and i guess this is just the place ....

Advice anyone?

TIME Fibre Optic Problems

Time Fibre Optic
ISP/package: IPTV
Location: Solaris Duta Mas
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Everytime the problem occur

Problem details
First occurence of problem: A month ago
Problem frequency: Almost every night

Problem description:
I have been using time + beyong iptv for around 2 months + already. Ever since last month, at night, i have problem with my internet being ridiculously slow. I tried to play League of Legends, and only at night where my ping jumped from the usual 9x to 1000 ms . At first i thought it was the rain that kept occuring at night, but it seems weird that when i used UNIFI for the past year, the connection never slows down, even at night or raining.

I contacted TIME and they asked me to off this and off that, blow the fibre thing and it kinda helped. But i have to do this regiment everytime my connection gets slow, which is happening almost every night!

Today, i try to play and i got disconnected 3 times -.- I feel like the connection has gotten worst since and i'm really regretting this... Hope to get some clarity from any Time worker..

[addedon]December 14, 2011, 9:09 pm[/addedon]bump?
