Unstable ping in DotA 2

Hi Sifus,

I recently noticed my ping has been jumping from 11 ms up till 1000 ms while gaming in DotA 2 Singapore server.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I tried calling TM on this issue and they just "reset" the port that's all, can't think of another way to elaborate the situation to them.

I've been using the stock modem on UniFI 100 Mbps plan from TM all this while on games and not many issues, latency has been always stable at <15 ms

Have reset my modem and pc settings but the issue still remains

Can you sell your car with expired road tax?

Hi sifus, i just noticed my car's road tax and insurance is going to expire in the coming days, I'm planning to sell the car off soon and not renewing seems like a wiser choice.

So my question is would i be able to sell of my car if the road tax and insurance expired, regardless via dealer or personal.

UniFi unstable ping

Dear sifus, anyone of you facing constant unstable ping while playing online multiplayer games like DotA 2 @ Steam ?

Since i've switched to UniFi from last week i wasn't able to play a proper single game at DotA 2 , i've got a average contant ping of 15ms and from time to time the ping would shoot up to 200-300ms and back down to 15 again and it goes on and on for the whole game. TBH didn't face this problem while on streamyx (prior upgrading to UniFi)

any kind advice would be appreciated

Hi all sifus, i just installed my UniFi 30 mbps is there anything that I should be looking out for ?

like tweaks or tips for the modem or hypptv ? they provided me with the tp-link ac1200 though.

on another note, didn't know that I would have to fought out extra money to install the stuff, they installed the fiber wiring on the roof with protection they said (been charged for RM170) because the normal wiring which just run through the house is easily spoiled and if the wiring is broken they wouldn't responsible for. WUT

Considering a used BMW F30 320d

Hi all Sifus, recently been to a used car dealer saw a used 2012 F30 320d sports line with kinda reasonable pricing around RM110,000 , the car has clocked about 87,000 km, although its kind of on the high side.

Just want to know if there's any known issue of 320D, breakdown of gearbox/engine etc ? and how would the maintenance like cost/intervals ?

i heard people saying diesel cars are more frequent to service/spare parts much expensive, compared to petrol cars.

My friends owns a 2012 F30 328i and his service interval about once a year, and the cost is relatively reasonable.

Any tips or insights would be much appreciated

Cancellation of UniFi Installation

so few days back i got to know that my area has one extra port left for UniFi so i ganchiong and went to UniFi online to register with the price of RM 199 (excl gst), then today tm ppl offer my parents RM179 with the same package .

The installation of my UniFi would be tomorrow, lets say i last min say i don't want or cancel the installation
*when there is a much better deal offered*

would there be any penalties or charges made ?

Hi sifus, recently applied for UniFi 30 Adv RM199. Recently only know got informed port available at my area JB which usually slots are maxed out, so i took the chance is apply for it even though i know there people getting better offers. Too ganchiong later no port again, gooding for all those who manage to apply for the RM179 ones since last year.

The technician would be coming this friday to install, so is there anything i should look out for ? and once its been installed is there any tips or tricks that i should explore or tweaks ?

I saw many people saying about Hypptv, is it really bad ? it seems to be tied to UniFI or else our package would be relatively cheaper i guess, some people mention of the router provided is there a big differences in the router provided ?

Car wipers SQUEAKING noises

My new car wipers are squeaking like mad, irritates me every so and then. Anyway to solve this ? tried to use WD-40, told would be able to soften the wipers or smth. LOL doesn't seem to be working for me either.

Hi guys, after using my Sony WEGA for the past decade which is without the current fancy USB and HDMI I've finally planning to change my TV Set !

I've come upon some interesting yet considering as a Budget sort of TV.

The LG 42"LN5700 which comes with some really awesome features such as the Magic Remote as well as having the 3x HDMI & USB ports, i got the price of RM 1559,00 , another model which I have my eyes on is the Sony BRAVIA KDL32"W674A priced at specially discounted RM1240,00 which might be a newer model has some really slim bezel and modern design as well as having the X-Reality PRO Chip which is said the process better image quality *gimmick or not*, both of the price I've got from Lazada which the Sony model has offered additional discount for Visa card holders so seems like a deal to me !

So these two models seems pretty awesome, but the Sony W674A Series seems to be only available in Asia which hardly any review can be found on the web and the lack of HDMI as well as USB port in compared with LG's LN5700 seems as a con to me. Whereas the LG LN5700 Series is being sold Worldwide and the review from sites such as Amazon and Bestbuy are quite highly recommend, so guys which do you think is a better catch ?

Hi guys im about to get a desktop pc which i've been doing research on the net and wanna ask for some opinions !

I have aimed on the HP ENVY Phoenix H9-1310d Desktop PC:H3V69AA desktop.
which was released on Q4, Dec 2012 which is almost few months back then
The specifications are listed below :

as far as i know that the NVIDIA is soon launching its desktop GTX 700 series as well as Intel's 4th Generation Core Processors (Haswell) is launching soon around Q3-Q4, i guess in some way it would affect the price ? I know that with the price of RM 3,339 I could build my own custom rig but its kinda risky with company which gives shorter warranty and more headaches which due to the multiple components from different manufactures i guess the 3 year parts warranty from HP is quite a plus for me.

Or should i just wait till the Intel Haswell processers and GTX 700 series ?

Do drop some comments below and let me know what you guys think,
is the HP ENVY Phoenix h9 1310d Desktop PC:H3V69AA worth it or should i just wait ?

Modem Recommendation

Hi guys, i upgraded my streamyx from 1 Mbps to 8 Mbps, my modem was the initial free modem from TM ( Riger Modem) which was years ago and the wire kinda loose and it gets on and off by itself, anyone can give me some suggestions on which modem to buy is sufficient for my 8 mbps ? cheers !
