Wordpress 2.0 Theme Design Competition

I had come out with a new competition, i am very happy to annouced the My WebpageWordpress 2.0 Theme Design Compeitition which will be held here for the very first time. I hope the competition will even attract even more wordpress theme designers.

The theme competition will last for one month (31 days). Starting from 6th December till 5th January 2006. Every enrties must be received before 5th January 2006. That would be on Thursday before 11.59pm GMT +8.

I have created a My Webpagenew pages for the competition. Anything related to the competition will be posted under the new pages and theme competition category. At the sidebar on my blog, you can see title "Pages". You can check the rules and prizes for the competition under the new pages.

I hope there will be over 100 participants joining this competition. In order to make it a success, i hope everyone could help me to blog about it and spread the words. If you had blog about this wordpress competition, please leave a comment and add a link to your entry.

Like everyone said, the competition is organised to create wide varieties and choices of wordpress 2.0 theme for bloggers.

Here are the rules:

* All themes must be released under a GPL compatible license (if a license is not specified, you agree that you are releasing the theme under the GPL license by submitting it to the competition).

* All themes must be received by Thursday, 5th January 2006 at 11.59pm GMT +8.

* All themes must be packaged in .zip or .rar format.

* All themes must include a theme switcher tag so that they are compatible with Ryan Boren's theme switcher plugin. The tag is just below:-

* The theme should look good on all modern browsers, across platforms. Minimum requirements: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari (Mac).

* Any theme may be excluded for any reason (not likely to happen, but still needs to be stated).

* Winners will be announced on Thursday, 12th January 2006.

* Themes must be sent via e-mail to kcyap[at]kcyap[dot]com .

* You can submit as many theme as you like.

* Each submission must come with the author name or nickname, creation design name and contact details
