Harrier XU60 issues w/ leather noises from behind

I have a harrier XU60 (2019) and it got many leather noises from the seats behind (can't tell if its from the door panels as well) when driving on uneven road.

no noises at all on highway.

when i stop the car and squeeze the seats behind, i cant replicate the noise at all.

i also tried to search online but can't find the correct keyword that points to the precise problem

it seems to be a well known issue, anyone know a precise solution to this?

Best way to pay instalment to bank islam?

I have a vehicle loan from bank islam. I received two sms

1. informing they transfered the cash to the car dealer.
2. Informing the monthly amount and to retrieve payment number from their portal.

Thats all the information I have.

What they suggest is to setup recurring payment from my bank, and the agent said they do not have a page/app to check remaining amount, how much i owe this month.

My concern is

1. I cannot know if i successfully made the loan payment for this month.
2. Will the recurring from my bank stopped working for some reason?
3. Can I setup anything to directly deduct from my salary?

Anyone using vehicle financing from bank islam can give some advice? or I will need to take annual leave to ask in one of their branch.

old altis engine dies when trying to accelerate

hello,

my corolla altis 2003 engine stops when i try to accelerate after traffic light turns green.

I can just restart the engine without turning entire car off. (turn the car key right away to restart)

when i press the pedal it feels like the rpm went up a tiny bit but the engine shakes and drop to 0 instead.

this is the second time and workshop say since they cannot replicate, they "tikam" only guessing fuel pump needs to be changed.

I took a photo when this happens and the oil pressure light is on. seems their guess is correct.

anyone had this issue before? does the fuel pump make noise when it needs to be changed? because my water pump makes noise and i changed it. i start to hear different, but similar noise when accelerating. probably not water pump noise because this time it synchronizes with rpm speed.

Malaysia airlines flight cancellation

I bought a ticket for my pembantu to Surabaya from KLIA on 5th of December, while it states no refund available, I thought that refers to when I cancels the flight.

They email me the flight was cancelled yesterday 'due to covid regulations', contacted their support on social media and they say I cannot refund my ticket, only can change to another flight.

I can't reach their phone support and some of the people say it took them around 1 hour only reach them

My confusion is they are the one cancel the flight right? Now I can't take my money back.

I'm afraid if I change to other flight they cancel later on again. Especially if I top up money already, more money fall into it and unable to get back.

What should I do? anyone had experience in this situation? I actually don't even know if Surabaya is open for international lines.

My pembantu permit is expiring end of this year. One of my friend said the permit will still valid if we have proof that the flight is delayed. Is keep extending a better option? I'm afraid other airlines will extend in similar way.

Based on their T&C I can't change the destination to Jakarta as well. Any ideas? Thanks!

Not sure if they allow voucher than reschedule, I might just top up and send her back around 21st of Nov. to Jakarta. At least can ensure there are flights for the past few days.

Real time Energy meter for 3 phase

I got RM1.6k bill last month for 4 family members. tnb checked meter ok, all aircond ok and they said idle load (for remaining electronics) is 4A(920W) which is weird.

Tnb people then got to go, so I am thinking if there are meters can measure 3 phase power easily. I used the clamp but take too much time to on and off each electronic then clamp 3 times again.

Does device like this work?

I've seen a lot of meter like this takes accumulated power consumption which doesn't fit my use case. I need real-time consumption. Ideally with IoT so I can see which time of the day consume the most.

Blown away by the SQ of Helix DSP

Personal opinion

Many years back, I heard a pioneer HU and thought that is the highest SQ and TA in car can get.

Since my HU TA is bad, I bought the Pioneer DEQ S1000A, which is quite mediocre considering it's price. I didn't want to go anything expensive since I thought the only thing i need is Time Alignment.

I never believe there are HiFi components in a car due to its environment, and I thought it will be never as good as desktops. Hence, you can check there are some people trying to put desktop DAC into a car.

My mind been fighting for months, to stay or get the Helix DSP everyone is talking about in US forums. My current setup sounds decent right? Do I really need to change? Will I get only minor improvement? Some people say you pay 1x for a 1x component quality, you pay 10x for 1.3x component quality. The circuit looks digital.. will it sound cold? (personal judgement )

I pulled my trigger when I truly understand my car audio sounds harsher than my desktop.

Box is solid.. case is solid.. expected. Won't talk too much here. I feel like abusing it by not installing properly on a mounting board, but my boot gets very hot when the weather is really hot.

After hooking up, at stock settings, I'm really amazed that it sounded better than most RM2k range desktop dacs. (never tried anything around 2k-9k range so can't comment further) I think it is because it parallels the output so it output 8 volts. The bass is so detailed and solid, while not affecting other frequencies, without any equalizer. My previous setup can't even match this bass volume with equalizer.

Very very low noise (due to that I suspect my gain could set too high, I'm still adjusting gain by ears). This is the similar feeling when I switched from on-motherboard audio to a DAC around 8 years back. It has auto sleep feature on amplifiers so its runs colder when you not playing music for a while (this feature can be turned off). The sounding is really smooth as well, playing low quality mp3's won't make it extra harsh due to 'high resolution', the instruments are still there in detailed manner. It is 'thicker' instead of 'harsher' which I prefer thicker & smooth & keeping the details.

I'm still amazed by it's technology, in tradition, we say that head unit to amps, having less component, although no time alignment, should sound better than adding an external component, a dsp. This dsp is totally different tier than my kenwood 9019s.

Time alignment is done within 30 secs, sliding the bar and clearly knows the vocal is on my left ear and right ear (*slide to right carefully* uh, too much. *slide to left* no no, back a little). The mid point is very obvious when i feel my head dips in the middle and sound receiving equally from both ears. Could have been done better but ill keep that for now.

Another thing is automatic RTA, I heard its about plugging a mic then it will automatically adjust things for you. Without this feature I already happy with the price. Never expect this kind of sound come out from a car component, with really low noise.

Just to spread the information if no one knows about this brand, it's very famous in the US. This is my personal experience and I could be wrong in some points.

old TNB meter reports higher number?

My electricity bill went rm530 last month.. me and my sister. The meter is very old disc kind. The reason I ask this is because I only heard it reports lower number when aging, never heard it to report higher

We don't use aircond all day. I tried few measurements with clamp meter and feel that the meter is running faster than actual value.

When home is idle,
2.16pm: 45693.85
3.16pm: 45694
4.16pm: 45694.15

Measured 0.5A with clamp which is 120W, but actual reading 150W.

When using only one aircond:

6.24pm: 45695.6
7.06pm: 45696.5

Measured 1128W, but normalized meter reports 1286W.

It can be the meter I'm using is a cheap one, anyone experienced faulty meter reports higher number?

coolant level drops slowly when not driving

Let me know if i shouldn't start a new thread,

My Corolla 2003 coolant level drops slowly when not driving. Already had mechanic checked, they put some sort of pressure pump thing to test, but no leaks observed. changed the radiator cap but still dropping.

The behavior is very weird, when driving everyday, it doesn't drop at all, even driving from jb to kl it doesnt drop anything. But when I park my car there for 2 or more days, it starts to drop. Sometimes my friend fetch me during weekend(Sat & sun) for like 3 weeks (total 6 days over 3 weeks) then it drops below the 'LOW' level.

Some says it's engine consuming the coolant, but it doesn't explain driving from jb to kl doesn't drop any level. It's really annoying as it only drop sometimes when not driving.

Any sifus can help? Thanks.

I just bought original long life coolant and really keen to put it in asap but it's leaking now.

Hello everyone,
I consider myself very talented in software engineering field, I research them since 12 years old.
I got 3.9 cgpa for my diploma in *MU and a lot of achievements, including being country representative for related field competition.
However my high school results aren't that good.

I don't think go working now is a good idea, long story for that.

I wish i could go overseas to explore more regarding the field, a lot of famous uni in uk accepted me but every singapore uni rejected me.
in the end i choose to study in university of nottingham malaysia campus.
I think it is better than my current university? considering it is very well international recognized british uni. I have 1 friend went intern in singapore and their government not issueing visa because they don't know my university.
uon don't accept credit transfer, weird.

a lot of people saying it would be a waste not continuing degree on current university due to ability to credit transfer, but i think it is kind of worth it? considering one uni is accepting most of the students and the another one having strict requirements.

my question is what kind of scholarship other than ptptn? my parents don't have br1m yet, they do business and its been negative for months. ptptn without br1m my final cost is ~RM130k for 3 years include food stay and everything.

I buy this just because I want my floor clean as just-vacuumed everyday, no other reasons. Sometimes I clean my room in the morning and becomes dusty at the evening.
Mi Robot received a lot of great comments due to its thickness and cleverness, and of course it's price.

The auto mapping covers wherever the robot can reach. It tries to push the edge first then clean the area. The middle thing is my chair. The left side was a wire stucking there and it managed to come out itself. Of course you can schedule and remote your robot from everywhere as long as it is connected to wifi.

When vacuum completed, it reaches charging station successfully. The voice is so cheap though doesn't match the quality of the device itself at all. Sounds like robot and not humanized at all.

Conclusion
The money is well spent as it vacuums everywhere it could reach. Most of my friends told me this kind of robot doesn't work, at the end of the day I have to clean myself because those robots are stupid, however this one did the job. Some people also says that the vacuum is so weak and useless. There is not reason that you don't want one in your home. Save up the money from upgrading latest smartphone and get one. Also, it switches to direct current mode from charging station for longer battery lifespan.

Price
The robot retails at RMB1699. It is around 7KG with packaging, do some math and it's around RM1350 with shipping.

Pros
- Sucessfully clean wherever it could reach and renders the map.
- SOLID!! It's solid than my toyota. It's lexus level solid.
- Switches to direct current mode when fully charged.
- The floor is true dust free and not just simply moving around and blow some air.
- Promising packaging.

Cons
- No international version yet.
- The voice could be improved.

ssd random access speed question

Hi i need 1 ssd for quick small files access speed for visual studio, it needs quick small files access speed because thats the main thing that dragging down the whole thing.
NVME will help due do it's parallelism afaik.
I have been waiting samsung 960EVO for its price and performance.. new samsung controller but from the review just 47MB/s for random speed. I see SM961 gets 60MB/s for 256G model but for 512G model its abit slower.

and i'm running pci-e 2.0 motherboard.. doesn't matter if it can't get full sequential speed, who uses 2GB/s and moves movies around anyway. but i need quick random speed.

unknown spike when playing 3d game

Hi, I am using i7 2600k 4.8ghz and gtx970 1550mhz but when I play any 3d game the fps keep 60 then drop to 17fps for 1 second then go back 60fps, happen in every 3d game like witcher 3 unigine valley dota 2 and even Warcraft 3
but when I play normal dota 2 game and watch live games, no spikes at all

my os is fresh install, I see the gpu load always at full and no changes at all, cpu load only core 1 at 100%

reseated graphic card a lot of times and use rubber to clean it's pin, cpu and gpu both temperature below 65c

anyone experienced this?

car dies after starts after throttle cleaning

Yesterday, I hand gatal go spray treebond into air intake, then the car dies after starts i guess i sprayed too much behind the throttle plate. no really alot but like 5% of the bottle, i heard people online sprayed 30% bottle still able to start the next day.

The car able to starts but dies afterwards, the rpm goes to 1k+ and dies afterwards, I tried push the pedal fully but the rpm wont go up.

I did this testerday 6pm but still wont start now, what to do?

Since the car able to start I guess it's not spark plug problems. All I can do just wait the liquid evaporate more?

Don't really dare to spam starting the engine more, afraid the battery will empty...

[center]Just an unboxing post, I won't do too much description on the sound, they are all the same, transparent, natural, deep bass, tight bass, sweet vocal............. you need to try it yourself.

I choose this speaker because I prefer custom mades over branded anytime, it skips a lot of marketting and webpage designing cost, and you know, some artists sign fee
The cons of choosing custom made stuff are their quality control, but this speaker looks very solid.

I didn't measure the weight but it's heavier than my 16KG gaming rig. The friggle sign is pasted everywhere on the package.
It looks big in the picture but after my measurement it's just right. Very heavy for this size.

It's a two layer box and the things inside perfectly fitted into the box. Once open, I see receipt and a piece of caring guide.

After taking out the receipt and caring guide, I see two holes which actually allow me to take it off easier.
The protection foam and the box are specially designed to hold the speakers, not just throwing every soft thing to cover the speakers.
Just some recommendation, the receipt could be fitted into whole page instead of just covering half page which fitting into whole page should look nicer. (The total should be at bottom of the paper).
Should include some speaker technical specification & frequency response instead of just caring guide. That would make professional enginnering feeling from direct factory.

After opening the clothy thing, I realise those "balls" on the top of the sack are used to let me to grab the "balls“ and pull out the speaker directly because those sacks are pretty solid. This should save a lot of work on getting the heavy speaker out.

The speaker looks very normal and cheap in this way but it's very very solid and heavy. It's solid like a rock, real rock solid. It doesn't come with cushion at the bottom which may make scratches if there are a little bit of dusts even sands on my floor. But after some thoughts, I supposed to grab the "balls" on the clothy sack directly to the table, so it's my fault I guess.

Now here comes the professional looking. Everything is nicely built, I didn't feel any moving parts.

Here comes its butt. The technical specification are stated there so you won't mess it up when you find it from your store 20 years later. The connection plugs are heavy and solid, I hope it won't oxidize. For Hi-Fi equipments, based on my experience, the sound may degrade on oxidized connectors. Good contact is much important than luxury wires (Shielding, quad stars etc.). In some cases are the conductor didn't touch each other but soldered together, I won't disassemble the speakers unless getting too bored someday, I don't know if I could return to factory state solidness after disassembling.
I realise the screw thing on the connector not totally locked (which still have around 60 degrees to turn), I didn't heard any moving sound while I move the speakers however. I think all of them should nicely locked to prevent missing while shipping. However, another unit of the speaker is nicely locked.

Sound
After 5 month of owning these speakers.

The beginning
I owned several setups before, they are the Denon D2000 headphone, Hivi car speaker + Sony XAV65 player, I've played with tube amplifiers and some DACs from ASUS Xonar Essense STX to custom made DAC & Amplifier.
The first impressions are, I finally hear what is the natural sound stage from bookshelf speakers, the voice comes from the middle in front of me, but there are no speakers in front of me, the sound comes from the middle! That impresses me. There are some aftermarket audio modifier lets you modify the soundstage using software, but for this, its naturally comes from the middle, directly ASIO from foobar2000. I can clearly tells where the instruments come from, depends on what music I'm listening. For example, some classicals places their instruments, most left have one, most right have one, while the others in between and vocal comes from the mid, or some of them vocals at the most right side, like carlifornia dreaming. That is interesting. While modern pops are similar, their positioning.

The sound are very very transparent. I classifies what I hear into several region,
1. Below 50Hz - which will shake the floor
2. ~150Hz - Sub basses, which blur out the sound on most cheap speakers
3. ~600Hz - Low frequency instruments? This do blur our sound on cheap speakers too.
4. ~1Khz - the vocal and instruments
5. ~2.5Khz - more instruments
6. ~7Khz - The highs
7. ~10Khz - Very highs
These speakers plays all of them like from separate speakers. All of them are smooth. This is the only thing I want to describe the sound about these speakers, I don't want to spend thousand words on they are transparent, sweet vocals etc.

The details, unlike most of the people tells that "oh I heard that instrument this setup is awesome", these speakers will play all instruments at proper volume. Some instrument like "The Triangle" will not rush out and let you hear it's existence but it is still there, you can hear it, its always there, it just don't rush to the front. The sound signature of my headphones is considered slightly amplifying the instruments sound, while these speakers are natural and flat. All instruments are there, and balanced.

Those stand makes my ear parallel to the speaker, and finally separate the vibrations from the bookshelf speaker isolated from my table. and the tweeter slightly higher than me, that makes the sound very very nice. I feel the high frequencies flying around, while bass does not blur out the mids and highs at all. They are totally separated. I also realise that the voices from my friend while playing dota 2 are extremely clear, very very clear, can hear every single bit of their voice including.... mouth water? a little bit disgusting but that's what I hear.

After changing op-amps in my amplifier from 49720HA to MUSE02

I mentioned the sound are too sharp last time, before I edit this review. I think that was caused by 49720HA. Indeed, it's very very sharp, but it brings a very disadvantage that is the sound from youtube sound really awful. The pianos, I hear every string vibrations and sometimes even the sound when the piano player presses the key (pat) and that really doesn't make it sound good, although it's really sharp. Especially the mids and highs, I feel like I heard every single sampling and bits of the music, the sounds doesn't comes continounsly, so I gave MUSE02 a try, which is famous for it's smoothness. Now the sound is perfect I guess, how perfect it is I won't give further describe. It fixes the "too sharp" problem very well and still maintaining music details, the sound are now smooth and transparent. The sound are smoother than both my Denon headphones and my car setup, now I feel both my old setup sounds harsh, after some burn in for this speaker.
As you can see, this speaker plays what the source gives to it. I personally feel this speaker doesn't have its signature at all, it's all controllable by the front setups. It will play what you give it without losing anything, every thing you give it it will play all of them, every detail.

Table is generating noise at 110Hz from the speaker
The basses from the speaker, 110Hz range is vibrating my long and thin table (6ft * 3ft). Most people PM me and ask for my table, I got it from furniture shop nearby at very cheap price, thus it is very thin. Low frequency ranges are rarely produced by multimedia speakers because they will make things generate noises, but this professional bookshelf speaker generate all frequencies, which in this case will give a full detail on the bass. I have to turn equalizer to decrease the 110Hz to reduce the noise from my table. So these speakers requires a decent quality table.

I realise my room is too small for these speakers (A room outside of university), they gonna take my whole room if I want to place them perfectly. For now, when the volume goes a bit high, all things in my room are generating noise, the sounds goes to every side of wall and reflexing the sound, really generate a lot of noise from my room environment, but I still feels the speaker is telling me, "You hear, the sound I'm producing is still so smooth, not harsh at all, I does not belong to this room".
Also, it is strongly recommended not to put anything around the speaker, not only in front. Do not put anything around the speaker is strongly recommended, so you can hear the sound from the speaker and not extra noises from the things around the speaker.

Pumping to higher volume
This speaker can produce more sound volume than how it look like. Of course, amplifiers definitely a factor, but my amplifier is extremely good, even at very high volume it does not produce any harsh sound at all, the sound is exactly the same at higher volume. Not only giving my amplifier a good rating, but the speaker itself needs have the ability to handle it well. My previous setups, when pumping the sound to "a little bit unusual high listening volume range", the sounds become harsh and not smooth at all.

Removing the cover
Removing the cover is strongly recommended, it gives so much difference in term of clarity and even sound detail. The sound are much more clearer with the covers removed. But make sure you don't put any dangerous things nearby those speakers like water.

Golden plated connectors
We have seen so much bad quality small components today, like your chassis screw, a little bit more force then the screw is considered unusable. There are also a lot of "gold plated" connectors on the market that oxidizes, even my headphone 6.35mm connector from Denon and Furutech (I'm not sure if that is genuine, sounds unbelieveable). The golden plated connector behind those speakers are very good, does not oxidize at all until 5 month of placing them in my bed room, which considered quite moisture because I hang my towel in my room.

You pay for the speakers. The speakers are perfectly built and the others are only do their job (No beautiful box, no thick user manual, no accesseries, no beautiful marketing like good sounding technology names etc.) which those extra prices only let you a little bit more happy at the unboxing day. The speaker doesn't come with nice factory smell. Unlike my NZXT H440 case, the fan blows out very sweet factory smell from the case when it was new. This pair of speakers is having some weirdo smell only when you touch your nose on it. Don't get me wrong, it didn't make my room smell bad. I don't like that smell.

Honestly, even this kind of product does not supposed to do that, I feel only 1 piece of paper is not enough, I will easily lose it. May put a full documentation for us on the site to print ourselves so it don't increase the cost, like computer motherboards download section, which may includes the materials, frequency responses, maximum power, trademarks and etc.

The soundstage are nice, accurately positioned. The detail, they aren't max sound volume for all instruments like they says, "I heard that instruments" but all instruments exist, not too loud or doesn't exist. The positioning is most important that affects clarity of the soundstage.

need help on explaining to old people(or solution)

My dad do a business and I take care of all IT stuff in his company because most of the technican here tend to steal or try to cut throat, here is the problem

1) i just bought dad a super fast i5 NUC with samsung SSD, which is faster than my workstation(the ssd shut down windows 7 in 4 second). he keeps complain the pc is very slow because the webpage keeps loading and I explained to him thousand of times that not the PC issues and asked him to upgrade the internet for decades he just don't understand why he need to pay more every month. how you guys explain to your parents on PC/internet speed?

2) the printer is hosted by a PC for decades, a very old laserjet printer. This is very problematic because when the host pc is not turned on or having some issues cannot be turned on, whole office cannot print. You may suggest plug the printer to another PC, but the third PC will be unable to use the printer.
Then, i bought the TPLINK 1043ND to host the printer but the driver is very problematic. (software side), keep crash or can't locate the printer. I was recommended by a trusted seller a RM1099 MSRP HP enterprise grade LAN printer but my father keep says this is too expensive he only buy RM300 last time for that printer(like i try to cheat his money). Today he complain his NUC which built by me cannot print(mean i didn't do the stuff nicely, not in good mood). BUT he don't want to change to enterprise grade LAN printer he just don't want to spend for business use and blame on me. How do you guys, maybe technican explain this?

3) this is most serious and I don't know how to explain at all. the brand new PC can load every webpage but can't load a single insurance page.(perhaps too slow internet unable to load the script completely, in this case change streamyx package) supposed to tell the insurance company right? blame the pc again. the PC is freshly installed.

Are there any explaination can let old people understand, or better solutions could solve the problem? I know it may not a good idea to shout over the internet but these problems has been existing for decades I have to solve
