Usage will be surfing, word processing and maybe some light children games.

Changing soundcard

Currently I am using a Creative Audigy 4 soundcard but due to the poor driver support for Windows 7 64bit from Creative I have been having problem with it, such as popping/crackling sound or audio suddenly cut off, sometimes require a restart in order to solve the problem.

So to hell to Creative lol, I am thinking of replacing it with Asus Xonar, I am looking at this two model Asus Xonar D2X and Asus Xonar DX. I am not sure about paying the extra bucks for the D2X at the moment.

Usage will be gaming/Bluray playback/HD movies/animes.

both the above not in consideration anymore, due to the fact my all my PCIe 2.0 x1 is block by the GC

Something in my PC fried, maybe mobo

Seems like yesterday freak lightning fried something in my PC. Now here are the symptom

1. There's power from the PSU to the PC, but sometimes when i turn on the pc, it'll turn of itself and turn back on again. Sometimes it just turn off itself and I'll need to press the power button a second time to turn it on.
2. Pressing and holding the power button doesn't turn off the PC, and the reset button don't work either.
3. There's no display on screen with my current GC or with my spare GC

I suspect the motherboard is fried, just need some second opinion before I get a new one

Video card dying ?

I am using a MSI GT7600 and today while using my PC suddenly the screen went blank so I restart my PC. While booting up band of line appear on screen and when it load into window the whole screen went blank again. So I boot into safe mode which works and remove the video card driver and reboot into normal mode again. This time it booted into windows even thought the band of lines still appear during boot-up but not when in window.
I reinstall nvidia driver and rebooted my PC, same thing happen, the screen went blank when boot into window and when I remove the driver again using safe mode, I can boot into window. I have try removing the graphic card and putting it back in but same thing happen.

Just want to know whether this is happening because my graphic card is dying or izzit something else

ok here what i wanna do, i have meter like thing in flash that display the value it reads from an external text file. the same value read is use to move the meter hand to an approximate value in the meter

below is the script

the problem is the line mark red, now if i were to replace actualValue with a number, the hand does move, which mean the calculation is correct. but if actualValue is use i get 0 in vhand_mc._rotation. but the trace shows that there is value in actualValue

so i am stump on why it doesnt work even though there is number in actualValue. any help would be much appreciated

I was wondering which HSF i should get, currently on my list are the TT Big typhoon and TT Blue ORb II.

Which will be a better choice and easier to install ? Most important is it wont block/interfere with the rest of the component

how much should i charge for an A4 size magazine ads, everything provided, just do the design ?

and how much for a product brochure A4 size, mebe around 15 pages, all provided, mebe need to crop the images though ?
