iPhone 5s and 5c touchscreens inaccurate.

So, iPhone touchscreens are fast in terms of responsiveness but are they accurate? They are not, says test automation firm OptoFidelity. Using a couple of home-brewed machines the company found that the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are quick to react to user input but can’t track your finger as accurately as a 18 months-old Samsung Galaxy S III.

The test was performed by an accurate robotic finger that touched the screen at specific coordinates and compared it to what the phone reports as the touch coordinates.
The Samsung Galaxy S III is accurate over the whole screen except for the very edge, while both the iPhone 5s and 5c screens are accurate only over a relatively small area in the bottom half of the screen (which, not coincidentally is where the on-screen keyboard is).

Here’s the chart made by OptoFidelity – green means the reported coordinates are accurate to within a millimeter, while red means an error of over a millimeter.

The group works with carbon fiber, but also with carbon and graphite. Their technology could be used in multiple different Samsung divisions. Carbon Fiber is extremely lightweight, ultra durable, and can be molded and curved into nearly any shape imaginable. Having this type of technology and a never-ending supply for Samsung could be huge moving forward in the smartphone and tablet market.

This will obviously roll into much more than just Samsung’s mobile division, but that’s where we are focused and the first thing that came to mind. With predictions of 100 million Galaxy S 4 sales, preparing new materials for the Note III and Galaxy S 5 is certainly a good move. We hope Samsung says goodbye to plastic, and welcomes Carbon Fiber to the mobile team.

Update lumia WP8 at service centre?

As we are heading to the end of March, the chances of Malaysian Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 users for their Windows Phone 8 Portico update seems to be depleting very fast but fortunately, Nokia Malaysia has just announced that the update will be made available starting from 30 March onwards. There is one catch though.

Lumia owners have to visit Nokia Care Centres themselves if they want to update their devices as the planned over-the-air update have been delayed due to “some unforeseen circumstances”. In addition to that, users are also advised to bring their Lumia smartphones to limited amount of selected Nokia Stores on selected days and time that are listed here.

We don’t know about you but we have to say that this move has a potential to become such a huge hassle for Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 owners out there even though it is certainly better than nothing and considering that the update have long been overdue. We have contacted both Nokia and Microsoft to request for further explanations beyond the said “unforeseen circumstances”.

Xperia Z random sudden death

Some Sony Xperia Z users are reporting that their device is randomly shutting down, never to turn back on again. XperiaBlog points to several different user groups that are finding their devices shut down without their knowledge, and can't do anything to have them come back to life. Although some report success doing a hard reset (holding power + vol up), this doesn't seem to be universal fix. There also doesn't seem to be a known cause either, which makes the bug even more troublesome to diagnose.

Sony's response to the issue is that it has come up with a fix for the random shutdowns, which will be implemented with the device's next software update. Our own Xperia Z seems to be going along strong and hasn't had such an issue, but then again we may just be lucky.

I can't brain what HTC is trying to do, First they came out with a ONE X+, a short while later they launched the Butterfly/DROID DNA, then on the upcomin mwc, they gonna announced another flagship named HTC M7.

LAS VEGAS, US--It looks like the battle for the fastest and most efficient mobile processors is heating up nicely at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. With Nvidia's CEO claiming the Tegra 4 as the "world's fastest mobile processor", and Qualcomm saying that its quad-core 800 series "will be the only product in its class for some time", Samsung sure stole the thunder this round with the announcement of its latest Exynos 5 Octa mobile processor.

Each Exynos 5 Octa processor houses one set of quad-core Cortex-A15 CPUs and one set of quad-core Cortex-A7 CPUs. Based on the ARM big.LITTLE concept, Octa works by activating the Cortex-A15 cores for the processing-intensive applications, while switching to the Cortex-A7 cores for lighter tasks. This, according to ARM's CEO, Warren East, offers "maximum performance and up to 70 percent higher energy efficiency compared to the previous quad-core Exynos".

In his keynote speech today, Dr. Stephen Woo, president for the Device Solutions Division in Samsung Electronics, talked about three key components that play an important role in mobile innovation--processing, memory and display. Among the new products that were unveiled is the company's new line of YOUM flexible displays.

Nokia could use Android eventually

Despite how badly countless numbers of smartphone users want one, and how much sense it makes to produce one, Nokia has been firm on their commitment to Windows Phone, making it clear they have no interest in manufacturing an Android phone. We’ve been over this before here at Android and Me, but we’re bringing it up again today because Nokia CEO Stephen Elop looks to be finally softening his stance on alternative platforms.

In an interview with El Pais, Elop was quoted as saying that while Nokia is happy with Windows Phone at the moment, but left the door open by saying “anything is possible.”

In the current ecosystem wars we are using Windows Phone as our weapon. But we are always thinking about what’s coming next, what will be the role of HTML 5, Android… Today we are committed and satisfied with Microsoft, but anything is possible.Stephen ElopNokia
Of course this shouldn’t be taken as any sort of confirmation that Nokia is working on an Android powered Lumia behind closed doors, but it’s a far cry from the position Elop has taken on alternative platforms in the past. For those of us who crave Nokia’s industrial design and Android’s sleek, modern UI, there’s still hope yet.

Hey guys,anyone of you using google music service?

Just started using it and still uploading my collection to the cloud.This thing can really save you quite amount of space!

The limit of storage is 20000 songs and afaik they are uncompressed.After that,i can access all my music via any of my android mobile device as long as you have internet connection.
You can also pick your favourite/most listened to download it into your phone.

However this service is only available to the US,so you have to use VPN,but it is only needed for installation,same for your mobile device.After that,you can enjoy the service without any VPN.

Below is a short instruction to install

1.Install any vpn connected to US server and run it.(i use tunnelbear-easy to use)

2.Now go to music.google.com,login your gmail and download Music Manager.

3.Install Music manager,and login your gmail and choose your music source.

4.You can now switch off your VPN and start uploading all your music to Google.

5.From now on,you can access your music on https://play.google.com/music

The next step would be configuring your mobile device.

1.Install any vpn connected to US server and run it.(Find them on PlayStore,i use hotspot shield VPN)

2.Go PlayStore and install "Google Play Music".After installation you can disable/uninstall the VPN service.

3.Now you will see your uploaded music in the Play Music apps.You can download any music you listen frequently to your device so you can enjoy your music without internet.

Study shown women better drivers than men

Now there's proof that women are the superior drivers.

A new study released recently by Carrentals UK, suggest that women are superior drivers after interviewing more than 700 people.

"While men would like to believe they are better than women behind the steering wheel, it is clear to see that male drivers performed worse in terms of speeding fines and penalty points," said Gareth Robinson, Managing Director of Carrentals UK.

Samsung Galaxy S III dethrones iPhone 4S as smartphone sales champ for Q3 2012

The Galaxy S III has overtaken Apple's iPhone 4S for the first time ever to become the top selling smartphone for Q3 2012, according to Strategy Analytics.

Samsung claimed the pole position by shipping 18 million copies of its flagship handset during the quarter, compared to Cupertino's 16.2 million iPhone 4S units.

Of course, serendipity is also likely at play, as the iPhone 5 hit shelves towards the end of that period, likely cannibalizing 4S sales -- in fact, the market research firm thinks Apple's new top handset will likely trump Samsung in Q4. That means the Korean giant may have to step up its game, or it'll just be keeping the top spot warm for its arch-competitor. Check the PR after fold for more info.

Samsung smart TV problem!

Hi guys,today when I turn on my tv,the sensor went crazy,it just keep selecting left and there is nothing i could do to stop it.I cant even turn off the TV because my remote is not responding.

I even try to remove all battery from all my remote control in the living room and the sensor light on the tv still blinking.But after like 10 minutes it settle down again,and after a while it is back.

What could possibly be the source of this problem?Btw the model of my tv is UA55ES7500.

Any help?
