Alternative streaming options without UNIFI

Hi guys,

I am looking for suggestions to replace Astro's service (My Mom's house). Unfortunately, the current area has no UNIFI coverage. Only Streamyx.

Therefore I am not sure if normal IPTV services like MYIPTV etc will have a stable connection. (Currently, the speed is 8Mbps)

And, I am looking for Indian shows(Tamil Hindi etc). Is VideoCon an option?

If only there was Unifi coverage, I would have bought her a MiBox and installed the usual streaming apps.

Kindly advice.

PARENTS
1) Do I have to pay whenever I request for a tutor?
No, our service is free for parents.

2) What if I'm not satisfied with the tutor?
Kindly contact us and we will asign a new tutor. However, tuition fees for completed lessons must be paid to the tutor.

3) How long would it take to be assigned a home tutor?
As soon as possible, within 1-2 working days.

4) What about the tutor's qualifications?
We screen all our tutors to ensure their quality prior to referring to parents.

TUTORS
1) Are there any payments for tutors?
Yes, there will be a one-off payment of 50% for the first month only, which is our agency's referral fee. 100% of the pay will be fully yours from the 2nd month onwards. Example: RM40/hr, 2 hours/week - Commission would be 2 weeks' pay, which is RM160.

2) What about short-term jobs?
For short-term jobs (2 months or less), the commission would only be 30%.

3) I contacted the parents, but the job is not confirmed. What should I do?
Get back to us, and we will provide a 100% refund of the commission paid.

4) What if the classes are cancelled within 1 month (4 weeks)?
We will charge 30% from the total tuition fees you have already collected from parents, and refund the balance. Example: RM40/hr, 2 hours/week. Class cancellation after the 3rd lesson (already collected RM240). Refund would be RM160-RM70=RM90.

MOLD inside cupboard and some drawers

Hi everyone,

Recently me and my wife found out that some of our furniture have mold inside of them.

Not much but they are annoying.

We have cleaned it, wiped it and left it open on and off for almost few weeks now, but it keeps coming back.

We tried putting charcoal etc inside... no changes.

Anyone experienced this before? How can we overcome this?

Hi guys,

I need some advise on my career. Currently I am working with a decent company. Been here since 2011. Gross salary per month would be around RM 4500.

Despite getting decent pay rise over the past few years, career progression is extremely slow over here. So I thought of leaving the company maybe next year.

Should I do Masters? or should I take up on some professional courses.

My background is in teaching and currently in broadcasting media.

Is it worth the time to do Masters?( taking time and cost into consideration)

If i should do Masters, what type of course should I do besides Education?

Does anyone know about any vacancy available in Supervisory/Management positions?

Every advise and opinion will be deeply appreciated.

At the same time, would also welcome any job recommendations.

Hi guys, Need some advice and if possible do share some contacts

First of all apartment is located in Taman Universiti Indah, Seri Kembangan.

I am looking for an electrician/plumber to do some minor works. And also painters

Work and repairs: New wall sockets & change old sockets, re-fix water heater, change kitchen sink & tap, water filter, washing machine hose and connection to water tap

Repaint: Hall, ceiling, 3 rooms, 2 bathroom, kitchen (1270 Sq ft)

Do advise on paint brands, should i go for Nippon or Dulux ???
