Bus lane - Police Saman

A close friend was driving in the bus lane along Jalan Tun Sambanthan. Stopped by policemen who wanted bribe. She refused and was seriously threatened.

In her saman, it says ‘memandu di lorong terhad (kecemasan)’. Is this correct? She was driving in the bus lane but not the emergency lane and there is a difference.

What should she do now?

Car Insurance does not cover accident in mall?

Hi guys

I was hit by a car driven by a group of teenage boys speeding in opposite direction in Mid Valley mall car park.

They refused to provide any sort of information, IC, phone no. License, car insurance, etc. But they are okay to follow me to police station to make report. They verbally admitted that it was their mistake but I have no idea if they told the Sargent a different story later.

Anyway, I was told (not by the police) that car insurance does not cover accidents that took place in shopping mall car park. This came as a shock to me. I went home and read my car insurance policy and it didn't mention any such exclusion.

Can someone in the know please enlighten me please?

Legal Query - Discharge of Charge

Dear sifu's

Last year I paid off my mortgage and the bank recently sent me a letter asking me to appoint a solicitor to attend to matters of the discharge of charge on my property title. After checking on google, I understood that this technically is just to remove the charge that the bank had on my property when I owed it money.

I asked around and it seems to cost around RM 700+ to RM 800+.

My question is, if I leave this as it is and do not discharge the bank's charge (document remain with the bank) until I sell my property in the future, would I save any money? I am wondering if there's a buyer, would this process still be needed? Meaning would the charge be directly to transferred to the buyer or the buyer's bank or so?

I left it on overnight to download thing using utorrent. This morning I could not get it to wake up after clicking and pressing keys. In the end I had to force shut it. Does anyone know what is the problem?

I know nothing about model, router or networking. I'm using a TMnet Aztech wired modem on a 512kbps plan.
I'm going to have 2 computers, and might get laptops / iPad etc...
Saw other ppl's post and planning to switch to this:

a) How many connection can it support?
b) Is the signal strong enough if the distance is somewhere..10m? In between there're walls, sofa, etc...

d) Anything that I need to beware of that I didn't ask above?

Audio and Speaker + Mobo Questions

I have a MSI 6850 power gpu and a Gigabyte P67A-UD3 Mobo.
According to the following website, under the header 'Bitstreaming audio', I do not need a sound card but I need HDMI 1.4a to utiliza the UVD3 engine.

Questions:
a) Does it mean I need to get speakers with HDMI outlet to utilize the sound engine? OR I can just plug the speakers to my mobo outlet? (My monitor is U2311H with no speaker and uses the DVI port of the gpu.)

b) I have been looking for Klipsch Promedia speakers but found that there isn't any shop selling it in KL anymore. Can anyone just recommend me something cheaper then...sub-RM100/200. (No firm constraint, I just need basic speakers with decent/good sound quality.) My preference is music/audio quality and I couldn't care less about the bass. The recommendation has to tie back to the answer from (a) since it may need HDMI outlet?

c) I read from other post that the P67/H67 chipset SATA2 ports have a long term degradation issue. How do I verify that my board has this problem? Or is this proven to happen to all P67/H67 boards? What signs should I be picking up? (system crashes?)

d) How long does 'long term' degradation issue take to manifest and show a problem? My pc is still new and I don't find a problem with it.

e) Since I have a MSI 6850 cyclone, the 2 SATA3 ports are just right underneath the cyclone fan. This made me use the SATA2 ports instead (to avoid heat). There are 4 SATA2 ports, and I am only using 2 now (1 samsung F3 spinpoint and 1 DVDR/W), question is, do the other 2 SATA2 ports that are not used face the same degradation issue? Or only those being used will have degradation issue?

f) As for AMD hotfix drivers, I read from the LYN AMD post that the Catalyst 11.2 actually brings down the fps. It was suggested that ppl stick to 11.1a. Is this tested?

Hi guys,

Let me just say that I am not knowledgeable in cables/ports/etc... And I am getting confused from reading bits and pieces everywhere on the internet. Please help me out if you could. Thanks.

I decided to buy a Dell U2311H monitor ( after some research (haven't made the order). I own a MSI 6850 Power GPU which comes with these connectors:
a) DisplayPort
b) HDMI
c) DVI (single link)
d) DVI (dual link)

What I found out:
a) Some users are having issues with the monitor when connected using DisplayPort cable
b) There is often a DVI port that works better than the other in a GPU
c) DVI supports both analog and digital

My questions are:
a) Given that I am not going down the Eyefinity path and not gonna connect any PS3 or the likes to the monitor, what is my best choice - DVI single link or DVI dual link? (Note that the monitor does not have HDMI port) Or it does not even matter?
b) Does the Dell U2311H come with a DVI cable? (the website only mentions the power cord)
c) I read here (http://www.playtool.com/pages/dvitrouble/dvitrouble.html) that usually one DVI connect will work better than the other. Is it always the case where the DVI dual-link is better than the single link one?

I bought all my PC parts, which I plan to assemble during CNY with the help of my brother. Well, I got all the PC parts that I wanted except the PSU.

Would any kind soul please let me know where I can find Seasonic M12-II 620W in store or trade person who has ready stock? I need it by CNY, or during CNY if the shop/dealer is working. (Checked with Lingloong he does not have any for me, Ideal Tech in Pandan Indah is not open today - I drove there to check out of desperation). I checked every single shop in Lowyat Plaza, no1 sells it anymore.
