How to find out if contract is valid?

Hi everyone

My contract will expire soon and I plan on moving out but I have some doubts about this landlord and her agent. The agent is her own friend. When the contract was presented to me, it was pre-stamped even before I sign. I did not get the usual stamping receipt or anything.

How do I check if this contract is valid to be used in court in the case the landlord refuse to return deposit?

ADSL modem router

Hello all, I have been using streamyx 1mbps for almost 2years now, and finally I think I bricked my stock modem DLINK DSL-2640B, getting dns server not responding every 10minutes error disconnecting from internet, but reconnects to internet a couple minutes after every time.
then I bought Linksys WAG120N and still getting the problem dc every 10 minutes and reconnects. so I searched up on this problem, and found out that WAG120N is quite known for intermittent disconnection too. so what do sifu-sifu think? is it ISP side problem, or is it another router+modem fault? do I have to buy a new modem+router? ._. I just bought this new WAG120N ._.

reference : official forum problem thread -
WAG120N - Frequent Internet Disconnection Issue
WAG120N - Frequent Disconnection
Attention to Cisco Team: """"WAG120N Needs a New Firmware Update""""

since the thread is still active to this date, I presume that the problem is still not solved ._.

Broadband provider
ISP/package: Streamyx 1mbps
Location: Kelantan
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: no coz its sunday, will do tomorrow.

Personal equipment
Modem: D-Link DSL-2640b modem+router
Router: D-Link DSL-2640b modem+router
Firewall used: yes

Problem details
First occurence of problem: last Friday/3days ago
Problem frequency: every 10 minutes
Problem description: My sister comes home every weekends and making total of 4 laptop/computers plus 1iphone 1ipad connected to the network. suddenly right after she came home, we are all having this weird intermittent disconnection for a couple of minutes. at first it was every 30minutes so Im like "its nothing maybe it'll go away by itself". then couple days past and its getting worse. now, its disconnecting every 10 minutes. details on disconnection;

Im still connected to the network, [wifi on laptops, cabled on desktop], but having no access to internet for a brief period every 10 minutes. its showing the warning yellow triangle on network icon every 10 minutes, then reconnect to internet by itself.

did the troubleshooting, and its saying "DNS server is not responding".

things I did:
1) updated router firmware
2) updated ethernet driver
3) reset router to factory settings, and re set up internet connection
4) changed ADSL cable
5) Changed Splitter
6) reboot using 192.168.1.1 interface
7) reboot by [unplugging every cable for 5minutes/30s/1hour, then reconnected and restarted router]
8) changed to google/opendns's dns in both the connection status and in the router settings.
nothing I did worked. did some research and I understands that it might be the router's fault, that it might be broken or outlived its usefulness. but it doesnt make sense since its the ISP given router and it has only been 1year+ [2years by this February]
its might be as well since its on 24/7 but no overheating issues or what so ever. the leds are stable indicating no problems or what so ever.

and oh I run the diagnostic from 192.168.1.1 interface, and the result is saying that;

TEST THE CONNECTION TO YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER
Ping default gateway:	FAIL
Ping primary Domain Name Server:	FAIL
^when its down

TEST THE CONNECTION TO YOUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER
Ping default gateway:	PASS
Ping primary Domain Name Server:	PASS

^that happens every 10 minutes and its really irritates me out.

Should I buy Canon 60D now?

lol okay so after sitting at the back watching others taking pictures, I decided to go into the DSLR world.
I have taken a liking on Canon 60D, Canon 7D, Nikon 7000, Nikon D90, Nikon D3s.
As I decided, I`ve been watching the Online Price Compare site of Japan (Kakaku.com) as I`m going to buy it in Japan, but as I watches the price from day to day, the price dropped from (approximately) RM2.6k to (approximately)RM2.5k and now as of 11th Sep 2011, the price dropped to 64,210.00 JPY=2,489.19 (converted at xe.com)
So I`ve been puzzled by some questions.
Is a new Canon DSLR is coming soon?
When will it make it`s debut?
which family will it be on? entry-level? or pro level? -> heard rumours that the new camera will be of the pro-lvl.
Should I buy it now or should I wait the new DSLR to make it`s debut and buy the one?
or should I buy of I like after the new camera`s debut? (buy it after new cam`s debut = gigantic price drop on older models)
