Problem description:

Upgraded to VIP 50 from VIP 20 about a week ago

Download Speed still remain at 20mps
Upload speed at 10mps

Technician came and below are the result

DIR 615 Router

Cable Connection
Download 50 Mps
Upload 10 Mps

Wireless Connection
Download still at 20Mps
Upload 10Mps

(Cannot be distance problem as this was tested using notebook next to the router)

So he change the router to the TM newer router )

TM Net Router(Silver Color without the Athena)

Download 50Mps Upload 10mps

Wireless Connection
Download 44Mps Upload 10Mps

So now before I go out and buy a new modem (kind of tight on budget), is there a setting in DIR 615 that prevent the wireless connection more than 20Mps ?

p/s -The newer TM Net router are crappy and the signal are too weak to reach my other rooms

Well ...I from a happy go lucky guy and bad things began to happen to me during the last few years

Lost my left ear hearing (due to diabetes) then partial blindness on the left eye (again due to diabetes) ,

Subsequently lost my wife(divorced but entirely fault of mine) and the final blow ...Kidney failure ...that was two years ago

Now tie up to daily dialysis and looking back ,really regret that I did not took care of my health and the people who love me

I have fail as a son , husband and father ,unfortunately you don't get 2nd chance on these roles ...

Recently installed UNIFI VIP 10 MB at my daughter house , the source is in the living room but my daughter bedroom are getting very weak signal

Thinking of changing the router for a stronger signal

Any recommendation on router brand and model ? Is it very difficult to configure a new router to work with UNIFI ?
