Okay, this game is now on the top of my want-list, so I'd want to share it with you guys

The game is still in alpha stage but is now accepting beta applications, so apply early. A few points about this game that caught my eye...

- Revolutionary Combat - If you're handling a melee weapon (swords, maces, axes, you know...) and swing it in front of you with 4 (or more!) mobs are in range and in the swipe of your weapon... THEY ALL HIT! And you get 6 directions in which to strike at them! No more target-move-attack routine! Combat just gotten a little more involved.

And its not just melee weapons. Fancy yourself a ranged person? You're going to have to string your bow, aim, and let loose, all by yourself.

This doesn't mean RPG skill elements are useless or is this a twitch-type MMO, RPG stat based skills will still matter (of how I don't know since its in Alpha phase)

- Player Cities, Battlekeeps, and Sieges! - Build your city/battlekeep, have it attacked or attack others with trebuchets and other artillery.

Player cities will can house shops with NPC-driven markets, player houses, and other buildings, just as one would expect of a player city.

MSN spied by your significant other

As an IT manager for a company, I came across a method to sniff packets coming through a local area network (i.e. in the office) and find out whos using MSN/AIM/Yahoo/ICQ/etc.

Not just that, I can see who they are talking to, what they are talking about (down to every emoticon and punctuation), and from which PC. In a business environment, this is a practical step to ensuring that employees are working and not chatting away.

But here's the punchline. This can also be used by any individual with the money to spare, to spy on anyone on a LAN network.

i.e. You and your boyfriend/fiancee/husband/girlfriend/wife live together or use a shared internet connection sometime to do each own's business. Every chat you make is visible to him/her and not to you.

So him/her can find out if you're cheating on him/her, talking more-than-normal talks, etc etc. This can go as far as getting your password for your email, even installing the program on your PC/laptop to run invisibly and log every chat you make, and that log delivered to him/her without your slightest knowledge.

Do you think this is a practical move everyone should adopt, or something that intrudes privacy even for the self-protective aim of knowing one's fidelity in a relationship?

How are the lower level areas looking? Or is everyone just over at the TBC zones now? Is it even possible to look for groups for original WoW zones?

I'm planning on something (shh shh not telling ) and would like to get some feedback in regards to how much corporations/companies pay for all types of outdoor advertising.

For example:-

- Large Billboards (the one with spotlights and all)
- Small Billboards (normal advertising on steel frames)
- Bus-Stops
- LCD TV Adverts

I've just started up on this MMO as well and it seems interesting enough to keep my interest, if there is enough of a response from the LYN community here we could probably carve our own little land here and make up a player city Haven't decided which server to join (Beware the server Mourning, it has a zerg guild that owns the frigging server), but I'll post it later and maybe interested people can join up at the same server.

Client is only 800+MB, takes about 3 hours to download

While everyone is out there complaining about the downtime, how they can't play their favorite games, can't surf...

The reviews seem good... and people say it does as advertised... reduce ping and stuff... people who were at 120ms were turning 50ms and instant shot registrations.

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes (VSoH) is a MMORPG in a medieval/fantasy setting.

For those who have played Star Wars Galaxies, you'll be familiar with the depth of in-game mechanics like true player-driven economy, player housing, vehicles.

For those who have played World of Warcraft will see the all familiar click&cast gameplay, mounts, dungeons and raids.

Its like a combination of both and accelerated tenfold. Mounts will not be limited to horses, there will be flying mounts as well, like gryphons, pegasus, etc. Ships for transportation will be NPC as well as player-owned, with different sizes and as customizable as your housing, also allowing content to be take out there at sea.

Well, don't take my word for it. Go check it out and register for the forum boards and you might be lucky enough to get into the beta!

Recommended Vid Card for WoW

I currently use a ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB video card and I can't seem to run WoW at even mid-range options.

My rig is running a P4 2.60Ghz HT proc and 1GB DDR RAM.

Thinking of spending a little money to upgrade it so I can see WoW in its full glory... Despite the Tmnut SteamyX poor service

Hello fellow gamers,

This goes out to the veterans of Star Wars Galaxies (big hello to ex-Ahazi server players), as well as those interested in a good sci-fi MMORPG.

Since Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) brought in CU and NGE changes to the game, many of us have left the game. To have months and years of work deleted like that was just mind-crushing. I have done the same.

Now, there is a team of dedicated SWGers called the SWGEmu Team, bringing SWG back to us at the Pre-CU/NGE age. This is not illegal as the team has already had talks with LucasArts and since they are not charging a dime for it and building servers from scratch, no issue.

So if you're an avid Star Wars fan, come join us! If you're a veteran of SWG, you'll love to be back!

For those of the Ahazi server, or those wanting to join, a hosted server called New-Ahazi is our new home.

City of Villians is for those who love to wham bam SMASH heads together! I'm only been on it for 2 days and am at level 13 (Woohoo, get the Fly power next!)

I also have founded a SuperGroup "Asian Fight Club <AFC>" for Asia Pacific/Oceania timezone players and have started construction of a base. So if you are already on CoV and have to make the switch, join Protector server and message me on my global handle Link Centurica.
