Nissan Grand Livina facelift launched in Malaysia

The new facelift Nissan Grand Livina unveiled today in Malaysia. The Nissan’s authorised distributor in Malaysia – Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) promised the newly enhanced model will be sportier and more contemporary in look and feel.

“Since its introduction in December 2007, the Grand Livina has become one of the most popular MPVs in Malaysia, with over 43,300 units on the road. We intend to further expand its popularity with this facelift version,” said Dato’ Dr Ang Bon Beng, Executive Director of ETCM.

Visually, the face lifted Grand Livina is distinguished by its new-look front grilles – the 1.6L model gets a smoke-plated design while the 1.8L’s is a fully chrome item. The external appearance of both model now complemented by new wing mirror-mounted LED side indicators.

Interior wise, Nissan Grand Livina is now finished in black, giving its spacious interior a distinctive sporty appeal. This is further enhanced by white-faced instrument dials for optimum legibility. The audio head-unit player for the 1.8L variant now come with Auxiliary input for portable MP3 player.

Technical wise, the new Grand Livina is motorized by Nissan’s all-aluminium four-cylinder petrol engine. 1.6L variant is powered by the HR16DE 1.6L (77kW/105ps at 5,200rpm; 150Nm at 4,400rpm) while the 1.8L variant is powered by MR18DE 1.8L (93kW/126ps at 5,200rpm; 174Nm at 4,800rpm). Both engine claims to provides superb fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance.

The new Nissan Grand Livina comes with a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty (whichever comes first). The on-the-road price (inclusive of insurance, road tax, registration fee and ownership claim fee) for Peninsular Malaysia will be as follows:

- 1.6 MT – RM86,800

- 1.6 AT – RM89,800

- 1.8 AT – RM98,800

How to use make cheap call using VOIP over 3G/GPRS

Hi there. First of all, I would like to recommend two of the best VOIP app which are fring and pennytel. But u can only use them within wi-fi range, now I am going to post some tips on how u can use them not only within wifi range but also 3G or GPRS.

Why choose pennytel?
It is the cheapest voip app I can say. You can download it free from itunes app store.
The rate is so cheap, calling to Malaysia mobile is only AUD0.08 per call for unlimited time!
Talk as long as you like* for only $0.08(AUD) per call to over 70 countries and malaysia landline/mobile is one of the offers.
So in order word, u only pay for $0.08 for 1 call no matter how long u talk.
Now the exchange rate is RM2.2 = AUD1 so $0.08 = RM 0.176 for 1 call for unlimited time!
Well, of course in order to register an account in pennytel u need a credit card.
And also u have to pay for GPRS/3G charge but I am pretty sure it won't use so much data as it is only voice.
But still it is cheaper than u can imagine, it is only suitable for person who make long calls, overseas calls or calling gf!

Comparing fring and pennytel, I would recommend u to use pennytel, it is an awesome app. U can try to use pennytel as a SIP in fring but it doesnt work that great. But if u use the pennytel app which is available in appstore, it works like charm, clear and most importantly cheap!

But unfortunately pennytel only allow users to make a VOIP within wifi range so here is what u need to do in order to use pennytel in 3g or GPRS.

Before we start, u need a JB iphone of course and running on FW 2.1

1. Download an app called "voipover3g" in cydia.
2. It will only work on fring but not pennytell.
3. In order for it to work in pennytel, u need to do the the follow:
4. SSH or using DiskAid to go into /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/VoIPover3G.plist
5. Edit/Add VoIPover3G.plist with com.pennytel.iphoneos.PennyTelMobile
6. Exit and restart ur iphone!
7. Now u can use fring or pennytel over 3g, GPRS and wifi!

Any comment/suggestion/feedback, please post below, I'll try to answer u if I have time.

Well, move to next tip. Ever wonder y u cant download an app from appstore which is more than 10mb over 3G? Now this is the solution.

1. Download an app called "voipover3g" in cydia.
2. This MobileSubstrate library can trick any application into thinking that it is on Wifi even though it is on a cellular data connection. There are a lot of possible uses for that, but for me the main use is being able to use VoIP programs like Fring over 3G. You can configure what apps get tricked by adding the app’s bundle identifier to “/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/VoIPover3G.plist”. Currently, the default is to trick only appstore and fring. If you remove or rename the VoIPover3G.plist ALL applications will be tricked. This is not recommended though, because for a lot of apps its makes sense to know whether they are on wifi or 3G.
3. So if u have downloaded it, then u will be able to download any app over than 10mb from appstore.
4. It is useful for those who doesnt have wi-fi at home and willing to spend money on 3g/GPRS charge to download the app.
5. And if in the future, there is a VOIP app released, u just have to edit/add "VoIPover3G.plist".

Note: Wouldnt recommend anyone to use it over GPRS coz the voice might be lagging for a few secs but if u can live with it then go agead.

I don't know if this deserves are new topic, but given the rampant speculation over iPhone prices I figure I'd post the cheapest rate plans overseas with how much data you get and the outright prices just to give an idea of how much it would cost.

I will update this as new plans/prices are announced. I'm only including the cheapest prices because I can't be stuffed getting every price.

Temporary Internet Files folder is protected?

The "Temporary Internet Files" folder is a read-only folder so i cant paste anything into tht folder. I try to uncheck the read-only column in the folder properties but it still stays no matter wht. Any idea how to do it? Thanks.

Did any guys here win the game after megacreeps come out to ur base? Or even both of the teams got megacreeps? I have a replay here but i guess it's 2 long 4 guys 2 watch, it's up 2 u whether u want to watch it or not. Let me give a brief abt this replay, the wolf is gg with some gay items, 1 rapier, 1BF, 2aegis, 1MoM and PT. Plus in the team got Warchief who has 2HoT. The opponent go and suicide on the rax to bring out megacreeps, tht's y we got time to hit the throne and win the game.
