Speaker ‘pop’ sound when shutting down PC

Everytime I shut down Windows, I can hear a ‘pop’ sound from my speaker.Even if i mute the speaker with physical control but still there is this sound.
Now using windows 7, windows 10 has no such problem thou.
tried to google and it seems many having this issue but cannot find a solution.
