Malaysian Road Law Help?

I recently got into an accident while changing lanes.

I signalled for quite some time, and I saw there was a gap. There was a car behind but it was quite far away. As I was cutting into the lane, the driver sped up and crashed into the side of my car. (like scratched lah. Sideview mirror broke). I asked the driver if she accelerated as she saw me cutting, she said yes.

Long story short, I made a police report but the police says it's my fault. The police says that as long as I'm the one cutting lanes and I get into an accident, I'm the one at fault.

May I see where exactly in the Road Transport Act of 1987 states that it's my fault? I'm not here to argue whether or not if it's my fault. I just want to know where it says it's my fault as I have a hard time finding it just as this person
