Problems with new TPLINK wifi router with laptop

Hi

I recently got myself a TPLINK router to replace my faulty UNIFI router.

Did all the setup and it is working fine with my desktop and other devices.

However I am having problem with my laptop as there is always an IP conflict problem for it, be it through LAN cable connection or WIFI. This laptop has no problem connection via cable or WIFI in my office network. The settings is to get IP address automatically.

Anyone can help?

WiFi Hell! Please help

I have:
Prolink wireless router (b standard)
1 Prolink WiFi USB adaptor (b standard)
1 Broadcom based TrueMobile 1300 WiFi PCMCIA card (b/g standard)

I recently bought the PCMCIA card as some of the WiFi networks in shopping malls use the G standard.

(Testing at home)
Installed the drivers, keyed in the WEP keys and got the connection working with good signal strength.

The problem I have is that surfing is damn slow or non-existent. While signal strength is at full bar, and all the IP seems to be correct, trying to surf is impossible.

After entering the URL in the browser the title of the page comes out, the progress bar seems to be moving. However the page just won't load. This happens to all URLs entered. What can I do?

Thanks for any help given.
