BMW 520D F10 stalled in flood(Engine water damage)

I owned a BMW 520d F10. Two days ago when im on my way back home, there was a standing water after raining. All car were passing through it, so I also followed. My car was stopped and stalled out. My vehicle was standing in about 8" of water (half of my rim was covered). After that I called for towing...

My question is what can i do beside changing a new engine. Because changing a new engine will cost me around 40k. It's possible that overhaul my engine? Or any other solution? Or is there any brother sister here have experience like this b4? Please share it to me. I love my BMW

Brothers and sisters,

Really need help on recommending which I should choose from these 2:
a) USED Honda Civic 1.6 V-tec 1997-2000
b) NEW Proton Saga Flx 1.3

This is my first time buying a car,my friends is suggesting to buy saga.But i scare proton car have many problem cause now im driving a proton wira and the car have many problem not sini rosak then sana rosak><so planing change a car~actually i looked at honda civic, but that is a used car dono will have many problems not><
