The Harvard Crimson reports that major universities are now getting together to help form a Starcraft collegiate league. 23 universities are already in the new league (C Starleague) which is barely a month old.

Me is speechless... i see potential for Starcraft/Starcraft 2 outside Korea.

GOM TV Star Invitational(GSI).

The Revolution begins this 17th of February.

After a successful partnership with MBC Game Starleague for 4 seasons, Gretech, the maker of GOMplayer decides its time for them to have their own Starleague. The new league will be called GOM TV Starleague(GSL). It'll be a new addition to the current OnGameNet Starleague(OSL) and MBC Game Starleague(MSL).

Prior to GSL, GOM TV Star Invitational(GSI) will be held, pitting 16 of the best player in Korean professional Starcraft scene.
So what makes this tournament so special?
For those who didn't know, this is the first effort made by Korean Company to bring Starcraft beyond the language barrier. Yes this will be the first korean professional starcraft tournament to be broadcasted in English!!!. And if thats not great enough, this tournament will be broadcasted live over the internet. A year ago, most ppl would never thought that this is possible. Think of this as a bridge that will close the gap between Korea and the rest of the world.

Finally this will enlighten ppl from across the globe, why people from the birthplace of pro-gaming love this game so much and why after 10 years ppl still play this game. Hopefully after this most people will realize that South Korea are not 10 years behind but 10 years ahead of the rest of the world.

In the past he had been casting in various tournaments like WCG and blizzcon.
He is our(SCBW community) ambassador to Korea.

The western SC community is easily large enough to fund an esports scene. Unfortunately the esports scene in the western front is run by old white men who know nothing about esports at all (trust me, I've met them). Koreans are light years ahead in the esports industry so they're using games that have hardcore sport like qualities. Western esports industries simply pick up the newest games that come out and use them despite their almost invisible communities--no wonder esports isn't bigger here yet."

Seriously many people, Malaysians especially will be surprised if they know how many ppl still play this game outside Korea. This might be hard to digest when we come from a DotA mad nation. In certain countries like Spain and Poland, their SC community are bigger than their WC3 community. I think it is the same in Russia. Mind you that both Russia and Poland are powerhouses in e-sports.

Steelseries Gaming Glove

I have sweaty palm, and this greatly hinders my gaming experience.
Anyone who have sweaty palm will understand how i feel. My mouse and mousepad will be flooded with sweat during gaming session and it really irritates me.
Sometime it cause me to mismicro my unit and i ended losing the game because of my sweaty palm.

Do you guys see shops selling this at lowyat.? If they dont have, can you recommend me an alternative to this glove.

Customizing starcraft hotkey.

I have a noob question.
Is possible to customize starcraft hotkey?
I googled and cant find anything about customkey for sc. I gave up and thought "Maybe customkeys doesnt exist in SC".
Until....i saw pro's video(Bisu vs Light MSL match i think), their fingers always clicking the "qwer,asdf,zxcv" area. Hmm... i dont know maybe my eyes are playing tricks.

I hate using default hotkey because sometimes i cant click without looking at the keyboard.I started using customkeys when i play wc3. I love it coz i can concentrate myself on the screen. No need to look at my keyboard.

If customkeys does exist in sc please tell me how to do it.

Problem with mIRC.

I always got disconnected when downloading through irc. This problem happen when i start using streamyx. Before when im still using Jaring wireless i rarely got this problem. With Jaring only 1 time disconnect in 10 downloads, but with streamyx 10 disconnect in 1 download.

this message appear when i got disconnected.
(disconnected:connection reset by peer)
I got this problem not just with one bot, but from every bot from every channel in RIZON.

BTW... my setting is the same with the one that i use when im still using Jaring.

Hi guys.After giving myself a deep thought,i've decided set up a community for us PES/WE gamer.My friends agree with me & said it's a good idea. For now i think i'll call it Winning Kaki project.In the past there's been a talk about setting up PES/WE community,but sadly it never happened.

Our PES/WE community here in malaysia are too small to be compared with other games like CS or FIFA.Honestly i think more ppl play PES/WE than any other game here in Malaysia,more than FIFA,CS & Dota.Although there are plenty of tourney in Malaysia,i think its not enough.Take Indonesia for example,Effy said they have weekly tounament(i read this on the other thread).Have you guys ever thought of emulating them.Thats why im willing to take the initiative to start the first serious community in Malaysia.Instead of waiting for the community grow on itself, why dont we(PES/WE player) take the first step and make it happen.

Ok,now ill explain how it'll work.
I know we already have a community,but what im going to create is an organized community.First of all i need support from you guys.If you guys agree to be part of this project pls reply or pm me with your MSN or YM.Any existing PES/WE clan can join this project.Im going to put your nick & MSN/YM contact on the participating player list below.It'll be easier for us to communicate.If the number of ppl joining this project grow larger, i'm ready to move to the next step.

Next im going to find a place for us meet & hold regular tournament.Maybe once in 2 weeks.If we have regular competitions, we can have our own player ranking.For now the place for the event will be in Klang Valley.But it doesnt mean ppl from outside Klang Valley cant join.In the future the event will grow beyond Klang Valley to all over Malaysia.Who knows we might have our own branch in Sabah & Sarawak.Dont expect big prizes,it'll be more like event & gathering for us PES/WE player.When this community grow larger & our voice grow stronger,im sure many will be willing to organize a tournament for us.Imagine grand PES/WE tourney like FIFA's EFC.Free to suggest any good place that you know.Save me my time to search for it.

Im planning to produce a short tv like program for this community.In that program there will be segment for tips&tricks, players interview & event reports.The problem is i dont know how to distribute it on the net.NVM ill figure it out later.Also in the future im going to set a website for this community.

Winning Eleven 9 Tournament.

I just received SMS from V-base,4th floor,Plaza Alam Central,Shah Alam.
There will be a tournament ths 27 march.I still havnt got the full detail yet.

I already registered for the tournament.I seems that only a few places left in the tournament.

The tourney starts at 8 pm this 27 march.U meed to pay rm20 to enter the tournament.
First prize = RM300 (doesnt matter anyway,i entered this tourney to prepare for ESWC.)

Competitors will be divided into 8 groups.3 person in each group.2 wiil go through knockout stage.
