Air Conditioning

Hey guys, I've got a question about my car's aircond.

There is something up with the blower fan in the cabin's air conditioning system. Most of the time it doesn't turn on when I switch it on, but sometimes it turns on by it self (I just leave the switch on when I'm driving) and eventually will turn back off by itself.

I brought it to a mechanic today and he told me that there was a pressure issue with the refrigerant and told me that I have to re-gas the system.

Does this make sense? I don't see why the fan doesn't start when the refrigerant pressure is low.

External Harddisk's Casing

Hey guys,

I currently am holding an extra 200G hard disk from my laptop and planning to make it as an external hdd..

but I need a casing to go along with it, any idea what casing I should get? I'm kinda looking for the middle class quality one right now.. not too expensive not too cheap =)

IF you guys dont mind kindly state some brands and some estimated price for me?

Windows Boot Error

Hey guys, today my asus laptop hanged and I was reluctant to wait for it to load. Therefore I straight away pressed the power button for a couple of seconds (to close it) and then straight away pressed it to open it again .. something like restarting..

However, when it restarts, it gave me a windows boot error message saying that one of my files in system32 is missing and it asked me to put my windows cd in and fix it..

I dont have a windows cd but I do have a recovery cd in my comp that requires me to reformat my computer in a sense. But I havent back up my important files from my hdd and i'm desperate to recover those files before I reformat.

They also gave me options to start up in other modes such as Safe Mode and The last known good configuration format, but all the options lead me back to the same problem.

I tried searching online and nothing seems to work. anyone has any clue?

IPOD Shuffle problem [ pls help ]

HI guys, i just won an ipod shuffle yesterday and now i'm sort of having some troubles with it ..

first question,
when you charge your ipod for the first time, is the light supposed to be blinking in orange or just static orange?

2nd question,

why is my ipod not recognized by both my comp and itunes?

Proton Saga

help! my saga(quite old) has petrol smell whenever i press the accelerator too hard..

i've tried bringing my car to the mechanic and he said there is nothing wrong with the car ..and he said he has no idea!

Computer Running, But not starting/booting ..

Okay.. here is my problem .. i'm not much of a hardware problem so please bear with me =)

My computer is running ( as in the fan is all running and you can see that the cpu is working ) .. however, it doesnt boot, or shall i say, it doesnt start..

Normally, my computer starts with the cpu running , then a beep from a speaker in the CPU .. then the display starts ..

However, now i dont hear the Beep sound already .. and it doesnt boot/start ..

the cpu is working fine .. but it just doesnt start ..

any idea on how to solve this problem? please do help me ..

EDIT:

hmm .. okay ..what i did that cause this problem was ..

1) my comp hanged ( not a very wrong thing as my comp isnt very new itself ..about 3 years already )

2) obvious way is to reset ..
3) but during the process .. i decided ..hmm.. i dont really wanna use the comp for now .. so i press the button to start the cpu.. and press till its off ..
4) then .. i cant start the comp already ..

* note = i didnt do any overclocking

Is a medical check up required before we enter a job in research?

If I graduate with a bio medical science degree, and i want to work in any research or lab department, do they require a medical check up?

And if so, will Hep. B cause me not to get the job?

my cpu is really noisy..

My cpu is currently causing more noise ..

It sounds like the noise comes from the fan in it. At first, it was the sound could be fixed by a hit on my casing but the problem seems to get worse now =/.

I know that i'm not suppose to hit my casing .. but anyway ..

sometimes the sound will intensify till its about to fail or burst .. no joke about it. however, there is no problem whatsoever with any other part of the whole hardware.

Any idea about my problem?

I'm sorry, i'm not good when it comes to hardware
