since prices of properties is spiraling nowadays, would like to ask why some people still want to buy properties when most is beyond reach?

i understand the rich ones want to have a place to park their money, but this trend is also very obvious for those that do not have much money to own one as well.

what is so "evil" about renting? especially since most of the time, the landlord suffers more risk when the tenant does not pay up.

renting is cost effective, and it is possible to negotiate better rates with longer tenancy deals. the bank interest on a mortgage costs more than the house most of the time too.

i am just trying to understand the mentality why everybody needs to own a property and why it should be encouraged.

Selling an expensive house

hi pipu,

i would like to ask all the expert sifus here for advice on selling an expensive house. for properties that are under construction that is costing more than 2 mil, what is the reasonable expected time frame i should expect to hold the unit for? so far my previous transactions took me just around 1-2 weeks to dispose only, but it was around the 500k-600k range.

while i understand it is more difficult to find richer buyers, is there a lack of rich buyers in KV?

Example:

Dengkil
Port Klang
Kajang
Serdang
Rawang
Sepang

Or townships like:
Bandar Saujana Putra
Putra Heights
Denai Alam
Nusaputra
Bandar Sg Long

Is there a specific definition for Klang Valley? Is it based on the area is covered by which local council?

Why is it in Malaysia, we measure distance by meters and kilometers

But when we measure how big a real estate is, we calculate the length by feet and size by square feet?

Shouldn't we use meters and square meters as well?
