Just wondering how you feel about your current home theatre system?

Been to many friend's house and listen to all of their sets. And what i feel was their mid range were horrible. Can't really understand a word the actor saids in the movie without having to read the sub titles.

So a few of my friends ask if I were to design and develop a 2-3inch full range speaker which can mount on the wall/put on a nice stand.

what i have made for them - Fountek FE85 3" extended ranged driver + 5"x5"x5.5" 3D printed enclosure with clear acrylic side panel to match their home decor.

DIY speaker enclosure anyone?

Just sharing the most resent piece of work i have made with my new 3D printer. A maze box (labyrinth) speaker enclosure i have been studying for many years finally becoming a dream come true to me. Using a cheap 6bucks driver for now. Have order some AL, JVC, C5 2 inch speaker unit and still waiting for them to arrive.

I have just get my hand on a unit of 3D printer to aid my speaker enclosure design to build actual function-able prototype. And for the time my machine got a lot of hang time so I thought of giving my friends a chance to work on the design in their mind to print it into an actual items.

As i'm a part time 3D modeler so I only accept finalized .STL files which is the supported format for the Up! 3D Plus 2 print ware.

Services provided: 3D rapid prototype printing service

Material: ABS nature white plastic only (paintable) for the time being. Still sourcing viable quality ABS material supplier.

Require information : User submitted their 3D design in STL format, Total cost will be calculated base on your 3D model design
*.stl (3D system stereolithography format)

Price: Volume metrix base on model design @Cm3

Price of the print is charged per gram (g) . But to provide you an easier way to estimate the cost you can also use cm3.
But prints will be charged according to final weight after printing.
RM2.50/cm3 < 100g (*minimal charges RM50 or 20grams)
RM2.00/cm3 > 100g
RM1.50/cm3 > 250g

Maximum printable size.
14cm x 14cm x 13cm]

Printing resolution down to 150 micron.

I'm planing to get one set of the AE aegis Neo 1 for my gain-clone amplifire~ anyone had tested it before? hows' the performance. I'm more to instrumental listening, not really fancy vocal though.
